Unit requests thread

Yeah but if you are being general about it, which Civ is, the Cuirassier would be more prevalent earlier in that spectrum, there should be overlap; Cuirassier 1500 to 1850 and Cavalry 1800 to 1920. That's what I think at least, but again; it isn't important because ultimately it would be up to the person using the graphic as to where they would place the unit. The point is just that it looks cool. So the argument is moot.
I'm going by weapon and counterpart crossed with age... you're obsessing too much about a meaningless name, not the technology and what it relates to in Civ4.

The Cuirassier graphic in Civ4 uses a MUSKET and is age-paired with the Musketman.

The Cavalry graphic in Civ4 uses a RIFLE and is age-paired with the Rifleman.

Muskets were the main weapon used and deployed by armies into the 1850s, where-as Rifles were the main weapons used and deployed by armies from around the 1860s on-out.

At the time-frame of the uniforms above, we're talking clearly in the MUSKET time-frame, as Santa Anna's armies of the 1830s/1840s used muskets... both foot soldier and mounted... so we're talking Civ4 game-equivalents of the Musketman and Cuirassier.

i would a big costal gun :

TODT Battery : 15 inch Coastal Gun in Pillbox

picture :

information :

This is a coastal version of a SKC/34 380mm ship cannon which could also be found on the Bismarck and Tirpitz battleships as the main calibre gun. These guns were originally designed for use against battleships and other ship classes, but it was also mounted on Atlantic Wall fortifications. This unit here was part of the Todt battery and had the best possible protection. Its distinctive features included a huge range and firepower. The battery was invulnerable to most enemy weapons. This mighty gun had only one drawback - there were too few of them.
Einheiten Information

Maximum Health Points: 10000

Armor value:
All sides: 500

Crew: 4 men
Ammo: 200 rounds
Range: 630
Penetration: 500

This is for Civilization 4 Vanilla ( original Game) or Civlization IV Warlords or BTS (mod : World War 2)
Ps : Lindemann Battery have the same information than Todt but with 16 inch Coastal Gun

I have a big mistake this pillbox is for Civlization IV, CIV IV Warlords and BTS but i have others projects. I can't make alone this blackhaus i am not elite in GMAX graphic. I have a lots of work.

OK what i need is pictures (color drawings, color schemes, photographies etc.) of Thai WW2 Infantry. It'll give more variety to your (and my) mods and will save my time (especially that i lost enough of it looking for reference material for this unit)

Wow. Sorry for post².

Anyways, I will use to explain the path I follow after reaching this URL :

click on Phayap Army at bottom of the page, then click on the northern campaign in the source of the next page.
From now on, every choice in the left summary an help.

Thx snipperrabbit! - it helps a lot! :)

So, I had an interesting idea a little while ago.
The Stryker weapons platform is intended to be fully modular.
IE: with little downtime, switch between the various configurations all based on the same APC core.
If it's not possible, Let me know, but if it is.. Wouldn't it be nifty to have a moderately-powerful endgame unit that could upgrade itself while in a city, and that upgrade would take it to any of the other various Stryker configurations?

Just an idea, though.

I'm going to intergrate parts of the ethnic unit set's from Varietas Delectat into my CIV core game, i think this mod has unit styles that cover all the civ's and is the most up to date ethnically dirverse mod unit set? (if there's one with better models out there point us to it), it seems to have all the units i need, but i have a small problem, i want to put in a new modern cav unit to slot into the gap between the good old US of A style cav's and gunships

There are a few models already about http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=288693, these look great and would cover off the european angle, i have seen some nice jap ones too, are there any Arabic or African ones around i had a real deep browse with the search function today and despite a good hour + could find no more modern cav's using the industrial age infantryman rifle

I'd like to use a mounted unit if possible rather than plug the gap with a car or early chopper, any about or near to release?

It wasn't long to find it. Any research I can do to fasten your mod's arrival ?

Mexican, Bulgarian, Czech infantry during WW2 :) - I didn't find any info to make infantry right now)

I did not request units for a long time, still hoping one of those I almost requested would be postet one time. But now I have a new Idea: Can Anyone make an number of several CEOs, with different signs on their Suitcases? I would like to use a CEO of a Pizza-Company, Cola, Computers, Sportswear, Midicines, Toys, Chemicals.. I think, if you now how to change a graphic, it would be most easy to create a CEO just changing the symbol, but I do not know...

By the way, some female CEOs would be most welcome, to, but that wouldn'd be so easy...

Thx Coyote. Any sugestion of the color of uniforms? Brown?

I found this!18896551.jpg

Honestly, since there are already a bunch of male Executive units, you might as well make all of these female. Maybe some ethnic ones too... :mischief:

Were can I find "a bunch of male Executive units"? I hope you are not only talking about the seven Units in the normal game, are you?
