Unit requests thread

Is there a predator drone? How about a real cyborg with like mechanical arms and legs? Oh, and space marines who float in space rather than stand upgright. They have propulsion jetpacks and various non recoil weapons--rocket launchers, lasers, cutting torches. Some of them are cyborgs. Some of them are genetically engineered, with like extra sets of arms. A Thark or something could probably be converted. Actually a whole Barsoom set...probably out there.
 
One at a time, and try to keep them non-complicated - someone actually has to do these!

For a Space Marine, how about starting with the Navy Seal on Marine animations, then adding knight armour and re-texturing? Sounds like a good start, but I don't think I'm competant to do it

yes a predator with helicopter (not used as air unit) and with fighter animation. what do you want? there is also a reaper - but without a correct animation.
 
The Planetfall mod copied from another mod a cyborg unit based on the terminator movie. If someone would add a human head on that model, you're already a long way.
The late moonmod had several spacesuited models with 2 or 3 different weapons. Add a jetpack instead of the oxygen supply and you're in business too. As for floating, that has to be arranged with animations.

How do you want it to look?
I use this and this unit (here and here is the last unit with a modified head).
And Avain has a Terminator unit in Quot Capita.
 
I am looking for a technical, preferably a pick-up version. It is for a Rise of Mankind module I am working on and I need a African/Arabian version.

The Fury Road ones do not work since combat is done with Crossbows in that mod (at least the ones I have seen).

A few pics of what I mean.

Almost this exact unit has already been made. I believe it is somewhere in the database, but if not I'm sure somebody has it.

I know there is an African Technical in Veritas Delictat.
 
Asio made a truck with a machinegun in back, but it has some guys with mohawks riding it.
 
I know of three versions: One with African soldiers in it, one with WWII-style soldiers in it, and one with caucasian-style civilians in it.
 
Can someone plz make an even more primitive unit than the warrior?
Running around in a bearskin and fighting with bare hands and/or throwing rocks at enemies/animals.

I've the attached (unfinished) unit in my pool, but it moves like a warrior because I'm not able to do your required animations. If you are interested in this mesh, feel free to ask me to complete it.

Well, this unit actually looks more advanced in stead of more primitive imho ;)
It's definitely a good Stone Age Axeman unit :goodjob:
 
I have a request that I think a lot of modders out there might appreciate. I wanted to give the Franks an axeman-UU that throws a Francesca and acts as a ranged attacker. Mechaerik started on one that uses the Mali Skirmisher animations as a base. I am not entirely sure what he did with it so far, but I am pretty sure he didn't alter the thrown object to turn. I have attached a folder that has MechaErik's francesca development along with Bakuel's Frankish axeman. I am pretty sure the LAST one MechaErik worked on was the "francescamoo4.nif" file, so I guess whoever works on this should use that as a base for the project.

What I would ultimately like is to have the model and shield from Bakuel's Frankish Axeman replace the model and shield on the MechaErik file. The best outcome would be to alter the animations so that the axe spins while thrown, but I'd even take it as is so long as the model/shield can be replaced with Bakuel's. I tried it myself but I can't figure it out. So if anyone could help me with this that would be awesome. Thank you.
 
At the very least African excecutives already exist. Do a search for threads of Chugginator and you'll find his cultural diversity mod.

I think it would be fun to have a Native American executive with a headress, and how about a Mesopotamian executive with a huge beard.

I think the Asian unit should have glasses. That's how I picture him, anyway. We also need a Latino executive for the Mesoamerican civs.

How about modern Great Prophets as well? Moses really doesn't fit in in the Modern Era.

England, America, Netherlands, Germany and Vikings could use the Protestant preacher from Colonization. We could reskin it for African and Asian civs.

Rome, Spain, Portugal, France, Austria, Italy, Poland, Ireland and other Catholic civs could use a Pope unit, which can be reskinned for Mesoamerican civs and for the Filipinos.

Isreal could have a Great Rabbi unit.
 
Could someone use the gnoll model provided there (screenshot is there) and give it a weapon like the Charr there? The issue may be creating/finding a good animation for it, and maybe a good effect. If I could choose, I'd like something looking more magical than mechanical.

You don't even have to make a texture if you don't want to as I got from seZereth that he will take care of texturing the models I will give him.

Also, I would need help to create other models using the same base. Contact me if you're interested ;)

I can't make it spin, but i could put the axeman on the francesca unit easily enough.

by the way, its "mechaerik", not MechaErik.
