v 26, and above ALL Bugs/Crashes reporting thread

Capture Fire wonder supposed to give free Fire Pit in every city .... but it doesn't! I have to add and can build Fire Pit in every single one. Can it be related to building not giving promotion or free buildings in all cities?

IIRC I noticed this quite a while ago (at least a few months), so it isn't recent.

Edit: Other wonder gives free Cave Painting to all cities so it looks like separate problem.

By the time you can place firepits in every city the wonder goes obsolete. It basically allows you to get the fire pit before its unlocked on the tech tree.

Thanks, that makes sense.... I guess I went with tech too quick and too far even thou i am at very early stage.

The Chief's Hut is working in Krakow (captured) and IIRC my capital. It is not working in Corinth.
 
crash during a 'choice' popup, filipino medics? were unexpectedly helpful, tending to our men on the battlefield(etcetcetc), with one of the choices: no good deed will go unpunished, didn't get to read the other choice. dump included for justice.

Which DLL version? Is this SVN (if so which rev?), V26 release, or patched V26? (or something else?)

Interesting. What video capture software are you using? The crash is in something called the 'bandi capture library' (see http://www.bandisoft.com/en/bandi_capture_library/).

I'm pretty sure this isn't natively part of Civ4 (I've checked it isn't present in my copy, or indeed anywhere on my hard drive), so I suspect it's being injected into the process by dynamic hooks at runtime by your video capture software, in which case at least some of your crashed appear to be video-capture software bugs, not Civ bugs at all!!!

yup I use bandicam. so now the question is any idea how to not crash?
 
The description says among others melee units.I checked with : ambusher(archery), slinger(archery), scout(recon) which all supposed to get this promo.... nothing. I had to go back with SVN from 3611 to 3608 because I couldn't start the game. It was hold on loading for so much time that I figured something was wrong with update. After going back I could start new or load old again.
Edit: Well.... tried again with latest SVN and it goes well... no Poison Tip promo however..

My rogue got combat VI and it seems the combat promotions now give negative impact instead of a bonus (-105 %). Please see the the attached save game. You can check the combat display and odds using the selected rogue against the nearby units.

The game is a hotseat game and played with SVN 3607.

Also some of my rangers and hunters lost the hunting sight promotions as well as posion tips promotions. Perhaps they are not defined as available for that unit type?

I'll take a look at these later today. These are some of the kinds of issues I might've expected to see since I'm prone to mistakes ;)

I can't really offer any suggestions I'm afraid. The problem has to be a bug in Bandicam, though presumably one that is triggered by conditions that are arising in the Civ game that don't normally arise. It's possible it's just a resource issue, in which case maybe reducing the resolution you play in a bit (so smaller window) might help.

If anyone else has experience of Bandicam, and has suggestions please post here.
 
Hey there, I just installed this mod and when I tried to start it up I get tons of XML errors like these. When I try to close them all it ends up freezing at some point or another.

Can I make a request for people to PLEASE put images as thumbnails/attachments and not inline images? This page takes forever to load, and I can't see the final few posts on this page* as it always times out. I probably won't even be able to see my own post.

*and I always change the vBulletin MBs to show 40-50 posts to a page

Combat I and II work as planned. but with Combat III you have less bonus than with II (don't remember exact amount), same with IV. At Combat V you have a "bonus" of -70% and at Combat VI the "bonus" is -125%. Also, you get 10% less healing in neutral lands instead of a positive amount. I tried to edit the units in world builder, but when I started removing promos the unit got even worse, like having -360% Strength and stuff.

This needs to be fixed as it totally ruins the game!

Otherwise a great many improvements since I last played a month ago. I read the thread about the new Combat System and I am thrilled about it! (Maybe this is causing the problems, by the way? Just a thought...)

Edit: I use the most recent svn (updated like two hours ago as I write this).

I did notice that .... when auto promo from combat my unit became useless after few
 
the german culture unit (panzer ) requires steel ORE oil products, i think this is a bug. it should be steel AND oil products

Hm, I'm guessing here, but it seems that bandicam capture dynamically links during runtime, so it may be causing issues with the odd way in which civ 4 uses the DLL?
 
Several of the air units require Ammunition and Oil Products Or Aluminum. But in the Civlopedia some list Ammunition twice, either Am Or Am, or Am AND Am. Don't think they need it twice do they?

Replayignto zalric... If that is the most recent SVN it is probably because of the combat mod if not I don't know also welcome to c2c and CFC

:( This was totally working earlier when I initially pushed... I'm not sure what changed that interrupted its proper function but I know where the problem is at least and have a good understanding of the mechanism that's failing. I will TRY to debug this tonight as it is so critical. It IS a part of the Combat Mod... but its certainly not working as designed at the moment.
 
I cant get this mod to work i have beyond the sword patched 2 3.19 but the mod still wont work can any one help?

Have you renamed the mod folder (from the download, after extracting) to Caveman2Cosmos instead of C2C_Release? They uploaded it with the wrong name by mistake. Also, make sure you apply the patch linked in the main thread.
