silly question but do you have currency? did not check savegame.

Nope didnt have currency tech, but like two techs before, cant remember which ones they were , POOF all of a sudden the other civs starting asking me to trade with gold and techs, weird Plus i could also then

You can with another nation if they have the requisites for it. Same goes for Open Borders, Tech Trading (except Minor Nation stops that if chosen in setup), and so on.

I am getting a CTD that states this program (the main civ4bst executable) has causeed an unusual runtime termination. I just upgraded to 19 have wiped the hidden cache and normal and pressed shift on load. The ctd occurs when I attempt to load a game up, the map script does not matter, nor if its under played now or custom game and irregardless of settings in custom games. Any help would be great. Thanks

Have had 5 CTDs since new game start, last at 9920BC. Have been able to reload and continue IF I save every turn. If I do not save every turn it will CTD by the 3 or 4th non saved successive turn.

I did turn Debug on and Logging. Logs attached.

If it gets to be a repeatable CTD I will post it.

I have also made sure that all auto saves are in Max Compat not Normal BtS by using this instructions:
open Assets\XML\A_New_Dawn_GlobalDefines.xml

search ALWAYS_USE_MAX_COMPAT_SAVES
change 0 to 1

Very frustrating to have to save every turn to play.

Edit: As soon as I lost my Starting Stone Thrower I can go up to 8+ turns with out saving.
Observation: Scouts are basically worthless like Wanders are. Takes 11 turns to build one and even defending on a forested hill can not survive a Lion and then 1 turn later an Eagle attack with 1.0 str. Also Build times (11 turns!!) are Too long for both Wands and Scouts.

Edit2: Also initial Stone Thrower could not follow plotted course. Simple 4 turn course over explored land and I had to redo course every turn. He seemed to have no ability to follow plotted course.

Edit3: Bringing a Subdued Eagle back to starting City after using a Subdued hawk to build Military standard 1 turn before will also cause a CTD.
Edit4: Total CTDs now exceeds 8 between start and 5360BC.

Can play up to 8 turns without CTD if I save on next turn after 8th turn.

If I let game Autosave and do not save after next 2 turns game will CTD.

Several CTDs have come on turns that the game is Autosaving on. Seems like Max Compat and Autosave do not play well together.

No CTD so far is Repeatable and that is a 2 edged sword. It's good I can continue but Bad I can't get a savegame to show the CTD.

Yeah i think there is still some issues with Max Comp, cause sometimes i even lose buildings and have to rebuild them.

I figured out the problem the freezing. It was ecumenism (?) that plants all known religions in all cities. It took about 5-8 min to do that.

I really loved how you guys changed libraries, universities and etc. I think you should make same changes for monasteries.

I have CTDs (non-repeateable ones) also every 5-10 turns. Its so frequent that it has become part of the game. The longer the game lasts the lesser turns I can play without CTD. I autosave quite often, every 2 turns I guess. And I use SVN, just updated to rev1291, gonna test that but doesnt seem to be big changes.

Is there a way to disable max comp saves, if thats the reason for the crashes? I think about going back to a stable version...

Sorry, I have not kept this thread up to date - RL has been busy of late and soon it will be time for no internet access as I visit relatives for the season.

Some things I have noticed that may need fixing
- not all holy shrines give points towards a great prophet
- I was able to get to the moon and beyond without getting the UN. Perhaps the first space tech needs to have "mass media" as a prereq.
- piracy ships aren't quite right. The Sloop of War needs to be a response to the Barbary Corsiar and the gallias needs to be moved a bit earlier.

The Horse Archer is the only unit with Ranged Attack in its update line. Even the Zebra Archer (or how it is called) dont have a Ranged Attack in in Pedia description.

That is because the attribute getXmlVal is not a BtS attribute. It is probably Warlords related. I have commented out that bit of code since I cant find any suitable replacement.

Gone 358 turns on Marathon and the AI civ still has not grown to another city, even though they have a tribe in the city, and no animals out the city even and does NOT even move him??

When I look at the list of units in the pedia it cuts off in the S's.
