v23 Bugs and Crashes

Nobody wanna answer on my questions, but I'll try one more time. I found a bug, or may be it just uncomfortable. I build CULTURE (ASSYRIAN) in 1800BC, and then later the Ottomans Civ took the HORSE PASTURE from my territory, I lost that building (CULTURE (ASSYRIAN))! And it wasn't at TOP 5 CITIES/WONDERS, like it never was built! So, may be somebody will not ignore me now.

WHY ARE ANYBODY IGNORE ME TOO?

Well, i has detected a little annoying stuff - The years are passing too fast. In eternity, at turn 400 my game is in year 100 A.D.

Its a early svn update what causes this bug.

Thanks for the reply Dancing Hoskuld :) I'll let you know how it runs. BTW, another thing I found: Was it intentional that a good number of the heroes are unable to build the "X-Acheivement" National Wonders?

As far as I know you get two Hero units per culture (not base culture) one can build achievements and one can be used as a a GG. I have around 20 Heroes settled as training generals in my capital. If I remember correctly each time a culture is added then a new unit and two Heroes get added. IMO there are too many of these now.

It probably will come back when you recapture the horse resource. I expect it is to do with how the vicinity buildings are coded in the SDK. This sort of thing falls between our individual areas of expertese, I was waiting for Hydro to answer since it looks like a culture thing.

Please give the SVN version. Just posting "a early svn update" really does not help. We need details please.

And no one else has reported a problem with Eternity speed. Are you sure that is the Game speed you actually selected?

some maps have this bug from memory, try a different map see if it still occurs.

It's not consistent. Cultures have 0,1, or 2 heroes. When there are 2 it's always on pure military, and one capable of achievements.

The 2846 revision. The years pass in steps of 40 years always, don't decrease with time.

I play the pre made scenario called "Giant Earth Map - Pre-Columbian Civs Pre 1500"

You must get a lucky area then that has good resources around it then, because in the last three games i have played its like if i get more than 3-4 Heroes at all? Besides that I haven't seen any complaints in the Heroes thread and or anything lately??

I get an indefinite loop when my capital is defeated, and cant do anything??? So let the capital get killed off:blush:

I cant load this save! It loads with errors saying 'you have been defeated' ! Are you sure this save is from before the turn your capital was taken in, or was it the autosave from that turn itself (in which case maybe it was taken after the AI attacked??)

I just used the last autosave, but heres the one before it then:

so the last autosave was 9433 AD but the one before was 9533 AD. Huh?? Anyway, it has the same isue - wont load cleanly and says you have been defeated on load. Do they load for you?

When most buildings in a city lose their ongoing prereq, they will go 'disabled' until the prereq returns. I would wager this is what's happened to your building. I've never checked to see if disabled buildings disappeared off the city list or not. It COULD be a bug but find out what happens when you recapture that plot of territory first.

If it really does just flat disappear, its a problem in the dll and has nothing to do with anything most modders can touch and could happen to any building that loses a prereq. This could be good to know too.

The gamespeed has recently changed to attempt to fix a major problem with it being the other way around. This is one of the trickiest balance points to achieve correctly and as the mod goes on changing, it gets tougher and tougher, especially as differing playstyles get even more drastically different research rates. I'm going to have to say this is pretty much a non-issue... something we're constantly working on. We appreciate this as a footnote to help in guiding us though. Also... ls, who is fiddling with this factor, is on some downtime at the moment.

Thanks for reply!

I'm here to help :-)

I keep (three times) crashing in the diplomacy screen after ending turn. Save and dump included.

Edit I discovered a task running in background. Turning it off let me continue.

Edit 2 Later in the game after converting Babylon into a vassal I have the problem of my territory being inside theirs.
