[MOD] v41 SVN and GithubDesktop Bugs and Crashes Single player

Has anyone noticed an increase in MAFs since the latest batch of SVN updates? If it is not a bug, sorry for posting in the wrong spot. I have had 6 today at least.

Upload save, those will happen if you play for hours on larger maps at later game stage.
 
Not a large map, play on tiny or duel only because of the issues with MAFs.

Another issue I have spotted is seasonal camps disappearing, I think it is thugs pillaging them and I am not getting notifications about it. I get notifications about other improvements being pillaged but not these ones. The only reason I think it is thugs, is sometimes I spot a thug near the recently disappeared camp.

Extremely weird bug....
Generally those notifications are bugged though.

Not a large map, play on tiny or duel only because of the issues with MAFs.
Even without your assets there is memory leak while processing turn

Is the memory leak my fault? Or is it a bug? Yeah I am finding out how bugged those notifications are the hard way. I just lost three seasonal camps in one turn and only noticed because my dogs killed a thug.

Its bug.

As for this announcement, maybe it shows only if improvement is downgraded?
 
Makes sense for the announcement, I will just keep an eye on the area. The thugs from one civilization are only able to access one area and they are making sure to annoy me for cutting them off from the rest of my lands.
Just glad it wasn't something I did, since I like to mess around with the XML files and occasionally python files.

Ran 100 turns in AI autoplay mode, and didn't see any signs of memory leak.
When I loaded the save it used about 1000-1100 MB RAM, after 100 turns it used 1224 MB, and it was pretty rock solidly on that RAM usage for the last 50% of the AI autoplay time.

Maybe the leak is in interface code, that wouldn't appear during AI autoplay as I was tab'ed out of the game the entire time and interface code barely runs during AI autoplay even when game is in focus the entire time.
 
I wish my game was rock solid, I just got another 3 MAFs plus 1 CTD this morning. I even lowered the graphics as much as possible with out creating any weirdness with the unit graphics.

Here's some of my ini file settings, what are yours set to?
  • fullscreen = 1
  • MemSaver = 0
  • disablecaching = 1
  • disablefilecaching = 1
  • disablepakmemorymapping = 1
  • dynamicunitpaging = 1
  • dynamicanimpaging = 1
I dunno if any of these could help you.

A test you could do before messing with any options is to run 100 turns AI autoplay on the save you posted and see if you get any MAF's and report what RAM usage ended up on.

This is simple CTD

Maybe you accidentally broke game with your changes after all?
It seems that there is lots of random changes...
Not just removed latitude limits or space buildings having mapcategory set to Earth.

Also you forgot to upload User Settings folder

This is simple CTD
Yeah, MAF shouldn't happen before you hit about 2800 MB RAM usage.
Maybe it suddenly jumped by 1.5 GB between you last checking it and the crash; but I seriously doubt that.

Do you get a Memory Allocation Failure (MAF) message when it crash, a pop up?
