[MOD] v41 SVN and GithubDesktop Bugs and Crashes Single player

Sorry, maybe this is the wrong thread, but turn times seem to be longer than they were, let's say 6 month ago (same map and stage of the game). If I move the game from HDD to SSD will it have any impact on turn time?
AI probably built more cities within same stage of game, that is it builds more cities within same time frame.
And move to SSD helps only with initial game load, and with saving/loading times.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Save/load times are ok on HDD, so there's no point in moving to SSD. Thanks for the reply anyway.

I assume this is a bug, but maybe it's a design decision I just don't agree with, either way: You can build harbors (and the office and a pier) at a (one tile) lake but you can't build boatyards, I figure either you can't build either or you should be able to build both, or if you can just build one of them it should be the boatyard, not the harbor.

Also, I had some crashes when I updated (even after the hotfix) so I'm still playing on the earlier SVN I'll probably wait until the next SVN to update again (haven't saved any saves from when it happened but it was from attacking a city), maybe I'll find time later to see if I can reproduce it and upload a save.

Seems like it was oversight, because replacement of boatyard didn't have this restriction.
Some of these could be requirement or replacements too, so now all normal buildings can be built at 1 tile sized lake.
This also will make lakes more useful too.

Wonders and special buildings still have such restrictions.

You can also build a lot of harbor-related buildings in a city when all adjacent water plots are covered by ice.

It seems like ice feature is completely ignored when it comes to water stuff.

Hello,

Is anyone having issues with frequent CTDs on 11358? I'm getting them every few turns, even early in the prehistoric era.

I'll upload a save shortly.

Here you go. If I load this, it will crash within 5 turns.

This is a save right before a crash, and the minidump. Please let me know whatever other files are needed.
Upload user settings too - its in Caveman2Cosmos folder, zip entire folder and upload it there

If you started it on 11357 then you must start new game, as your save would be corrupted.

I'll upload that later on today.

Game was started on 11358.

Add MLF file to your custom civilization modmod next at main folder in modmod zip file.

I have placed the "MLF_CIV4ModularLoadingControls.xml" with the custom civ setup (see attached file) under this folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods\Caveman2Cosmos\Assets\Modules\Custom_Civilizations

and your "MLF_CIV4ModularLoadingControls.xml" under:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods\Caveman2Cosmos\Assets\Modules

My single custom civ is still not available in SVN 11358 in either a saved game or in a brand new game.

Attachments

This one would be going INSIDE of Custom Civilizations folder.

You also need another one OUTSIDE of custom civilization folder.

That fixed the problem, thanks! The larger MLF file I included in my replies was from the MegaPack itself and allowed me to pick and choose which civs I wanted active.
Now I understand I just need to have the custom civ folders present for the civ to be active.
Thanks again for your help.

Did a test, and deactivated the Custom Civilization folder in the MLF file. Still crashed after the first 30 turns.

Either the wonder "(The?) Great Zimbabwe" is bugged or I don't understand how it works, it says that if building with :food: cities will continue to grow, but if I build workers or settlers or whatever, the food tab says "stagnant".
