Varietas Delectat for Rhye's and Fall

This is a well known bug, but look at the first page and you will see that lonewolf ask us to download to little files who correct the problem.

Yes, and I have downloaded those files, before I even played the first time with it, and Egypt still has vanishing villages.

You must ave done an eroor during your installation!

Let's recapitulate:

-You download the principal fies(varietas for RFC)

-You unzip it and put it contents in Beyond the Sword\Mods\Rhye's and Fall of Civilization\Assets

-You open the files Beyond the Sword\Mods\Rhye's and Fall of Civilization\Rhye's and Fall of Civilization.ini and change the XML modular loading to 1

-You download the CityLSystem file

-you put it in Beyond the Sword\Mods\Rhye's and Fall of Civilization\Assets\XML\Buildings(you overwrite the old files)

-You download Globaltipe

-you put it in asset/XML

And you've got a perfect installation, so it should not be vanilla element, don't forget to accept to overwrite when it ask you!

I reinstalled RFC and VD fresh and still they vanish. Yes, with the other files too in their proper locations.

EDIT: I went back and found the series of posts containing the fixed GlobalTypes, there I found the fix for the towns (PlotLSystem), that wasn't linked on the first page. Going to test now, though I am sure that was all I was missing.

Yeah, i think that lonewolf should simplify all these...procedure. But the problem is that i think it is impossible.

PS for lonewolf: When will you update your excellent mod to VD 7.5?

Hi I'm having a bunch of problems that only happen when I install the VD modmod.

first is that when I start any game I start with no expansion civic and it just says despotism.
second is that the mercenary screen sometimes randomly goes blank .
third is that the city screen sometimes goes blank on the bottom where you tell it what to build.
and last is that once a tribal village didn't do anything when units went over it.

All of these problems seem graphic related so Im guessing they has to do with this mod. Im guessing with the tribal village that there wasn't really a tribe there because someone got it but than it stayed on the screen. but that's just a guess I really have no idea why these things are happening.

edit: Im positive these are VD related since after I reinstalled RFC without it everything worked fine.

On a tangential note, I've played as the English and I'm getting strange city names when I found them outside my standard areas, like "Fort Cambridge" in southern Brazil or "Rooker Town" in South East Africa. Is this due to the Varietas Delectat modmod, or is it in RFC 1.186?

Varietas Delectat. ;) I allowed myself some liberties here...

PS for lonewolf: When will you update your excellent mod to VD 7.5?

I don't think I will do it, because the only updated units in 7.5 are the Native Americans, Byzantines and Carthaginians, of whom only Carthaginians have an influental enough part in RFC.

Yes but the new citystyle set is amazing and your mod is not to 7.0, so there is much more units who are not present in it.

That's great. How did you do it? I can't find it in the code.

When a civ founds a city on a tile which is not is settler maps, the city names are taken from default list from Civ4CivilizationInfos.xml. Since VD uses its own Civ4CivilizationInfos (Modules\Varietas Delectat\XML\UnitArtStyles&CivInfos\VD_Civ4CivilizationInfos.xml), I can change the default list without changing the original files.

Quick bug report. (IDK if this is just the RFC version of VD or VD as a whole, but since it's fairly major I'm guessing it's RFC.)
Some city styles simply do not appear. For example, the Khmer and Egyptian cities are completely invisible. It works fine with other civs, my (Japanese) and Chinese cities are fully visible.

Done all the XML changes. Rar-ing and uploading.

Uploaded. Notice also that the additional files attached to the OP are also updated to the latter diverse citystyles.
