Didn't Jabarto already make a Perfectworld 2 RoM version?

PerfectWorld 2 works with ROM with no modification needed. The only thing that doesn't work is the generation of marshes and storms. I tried changing on that once, bit it didn't work.

You mean I can grab PerfecWorld 2.01 from RevDCM PublicMaps and maove it ot RoM but with awareness that marshes and storms won't be there? Or just plain PerfectWorld 2 from its modder somewhere in mapscripts forum?
 
Perfectworld2 works fine except it does not generate marsh, storms, and peet bogs. It does generate all the resources.
 
Hello,

To let you all know, I tested 2.7 RoM with Perfect2.01 from RevDCM and it created just fine. The game so far is going well at Huge and Marathon speed. No sweat so far.

So like Jabarto and NBAwhatever said above, don't expect marshes, storms, bogs but otherwise PerfectWorld2.01 seems OK so far.

Yeah, well the problem for me is that it is not generating all of the resources :S . I have yet to see a single stone resource on the gigantic map I'm playing. There is, however, an unproportional amount of the salt resoure present.

Yeah, and I also noticed that it is way too laggy so I switched plain perfectworld2. It still didn't exactly satisfy me.. So I'm now just using Smartmaps. That reminds me.

Here is a question:
Which map-generating scripts in custom options have everything RoM has to offer?
Yeah, I know I can always use scenarios but I want my map-generating scripts sometimes as well so i need ot know that.

My personal favorite is Archipelago, BUT with Low Sealevel, Rocky terrain and Snaky Continents.

This will produce some interesting continents and some small islands. Very unpredictable, but always very playable. plus it will be with storms, marsh and peatbogs, and other resources.

Examples is made on huge map.

Edit : Uh, almost forgot. Its a very quick map generator. Not like the perfectworld. zzzzz ;)

I'm totally enjoying the 2.7 version at the moment, but notice glitches in unit movements. Units lag slightly when moving now versus 2.62. I'm not sure if it's the 2.7 or the addons I installed of AAranda's (RoM2.7 Units, buildings). Also, wonder movies run twice now when built. Still, awesome version just a little annoying with the slight lags.
 
Zappara was your 2.7 RoM test using RevDCM 2.0 as it's base mod?

I ask because I'd like to track the cause of multiplayer getting destroyed. See here for details:

Anyway I'm really hoping the player base of RoM being as large as it is could give us the insight to know if multiplayer broke in RevDCM 2.00 (and thus was busted by WoC), or broke in 2.5 (and thus is caused by the conversion to BtS 3.19).

RoM 2.7test2 has RevDCM 2.0 included. I can't test multiplayer mode myself so we'll have to rely on reports from other players.

I've been playing 2 multiplayer games with 2.7test2 (3.17)
and its been rock stable (aside from the AI locking up and refusing to end its turn (fixxed by having a player join as that ai end its turn and leave))

Makes me think its a problem with rev2.5 (note for 2.7test2 it was with the multiplayer compatibility flag set in the files (the one mentioned in the readme)

Hello. My mods have nothing to do with your slag , but are responsable of wondermovies showing twice .
It was a python mistake a fixed long ago with dancing hoskuld's great help , but seems i've mixed the fixed file in the 2.7 conversion
I'll try to fix it today and upload again , but you'll have to download again and replace the mod . Sorry
I'll post it when done , and give you a shot to make you know

Thanks for getting back on that AAranda. Your right. I reloaded the 2.7 mod without the addons and still noticed the lag. Cheers for fixing the modules. :) I really like the national wonder ideas you put into them.
Going back to the 2.7 mod. Is there a place I can post bugs? I've looked around for other post on the small bugs I've noticed, but nobody has mentioned them. Again, I'm just listing little bugs that I'm sure the developer would like to fix, not bashing by any means.
1. Civopedia doesn't respond during game play
2. Non original tech quotes don't work
3. Great person bar and clock no longer visible on main screen (mabye by design, but did love having them)

Also looking forward to the Canadian civ mod. I got some ideas for it if interested.

In what ways exactly does the AI get to cheat at Monarch level?

Basically, they have the ability to produce huge armies, huge numbers of cities, and keep par in the tech race. This is extremely aggrivating at the start of the game, it isn't until Democracy that I can usually expand affordabilly beyond 5 cities. By then the AI will have around 15 and a massive army.

Everything worked fine with 2.62, but now civilopedia tab doesn't work and the clock is gone.
I'm not sure why, but the onlye changes made were the 2.7 and a couple addons were installed and now the little bugs show up. hmm... not sure what to do except reinstall everything 'cause i appear to be the only one with these problems.:rolleyes:
