By the way, I have old Wyrmshadow Burke and OH Perry units, found on CDG .
Unfortunately they are not the same quality of later Wyrm's jobs and now he seems too busy with SOE 5 to redo these. Do you plan to release improved versions of these units ? I think that wonderful US Navy BBs and CGs could not be really useful in modern scenarios without their complement of DD/DDG (you already made a wonderful CF Adams) and FFG.

Wolf 66, thank you, also thank you to all the others that have given compliments on my units. I'm glad you and others enjoy my work. I would like to do a Knox class frigate as well as a Perry class. I cannot give you a firm yes or no, just a maybe for now.

Badkharma, actually the default destroyer is very close to a Spruance class destroyer, while the Aegis "cruiser" in Civ3 is an offshoot of a chopped up Arleigh Burke destroyer. Either way, I find Civ3's and CivIV's stock warships somewhat appalling.

Okay, I believe I have possibly the final versions of the Modern and WWII Iowa class battleship. I finally achieved the desired effect for the pressure wake on the water, from the gunblasts. I was able to use the civ smoke colors to get it how I thought it should look. I also did some more minor tweaks. I feel these two units may have finally reached their zenith. Now, what I have been learning and putting to use in perfecting my two favorite units should greatly benefit my other units as I redo them and any new units I put out as well. You will find the links to the new files in post two and three of this thread. I hope anyone who enjoys my units will benefit from my insanity. :crazyeye:
 
Heh. Redoing the Iowas again? What version would they be? 976.47925 and 1/2? Heh. :D Its awesome. I can't wait.

Call me crazy, but I remember either you or Wyrm fooling around with a moidernized South Dakota.... did that ever get made?
 
I think Wyrmshadow posted a profile picture of one a while back, but to my knowledge, a modernized South Dakota hasn't been made by him nor I.
 
Hmmmm. Thanks for the answer. In twisted Goldflash Land, I could use the Iowa and Modern Iowa for american flavor units and the SD and Modern SD for generics. OOh, and I do remember the modern Yamoto you made for me.. but that, of course, is reserved for Japan. But Twisted Goldflash land is far off the interstate from reality.
 
Yeah that was a LONG time ago and I haven't gotten around to anything modern. Need any modern models to play with like the Kiev or OHP?
 
I have the OHP, thanks again for that model Wyrmshadow. Although, I do not have the Kiev.
