VMware Fusion 2 and Conquests

I recently installed VMware's Fusion 2 on my MacPro and then tried to make Civ III Conquest plus CivAssist II work.

The good news: it works, both of them.

The bad news: it does not work in my display's native 1600x1200 resolution. Conquest uses the upper left corner, up to 1280x1024. CivAssist uses the complete screen for it's windows and the Alerts window.

However, trying to force the Ciw display into full screen mode via

• Video Mode=1600 or
• KeepRes=1

crashes Civ. Anybody with the same experience? Or even a solution?

Hang in there! I can't answer your question (no experience), but I'm sure AlanH, our moderator, will get to it as soon as he can.

Sorry, I was hoping someone else knew the answer. I run two 1280 x 1024 screens so I don't have the luxury/problem of worrying about resolutions bigger than 1280.
