Well I may have

the last couple turns in my set, in terms of managing the war and unit movement.
I was able to take Pi-Ramses at least.

No one will give me anything better than Sailing for Alphabet, so I'll wait a bit, see if we can get a better deal.
I decide to convert to Christianity, figuring the production, culture and happiness bonuses outweigh the diplomatic effects and higher upkeep.

Alright, our Pax Egypta has expired: here we go!
Hatty, your head would look good on the end of a pole! (Yechh!)
Turn 136 (520 AD)
Persepolis begins: Swordsman
Pasargadae begins: Swordsman
Swordsman promoted: City Raider I
Swordsman promoted: City Raider I
Uh oh, an Egyptian galley is heading along the coast towards Arbela... wait it has a settler and an archer.
And: the Americans have converted to Christianity! I knew that was going to happen.
I really want Sailing for the sake of Arbela (a lighthouse) but I can't seem to get anything close to a fair trade (they all want Alphabet straight up for it). Arbela will finish its granary next turn, so I bend over and make the trade. I chose to do it with Cathy, because she's the sexiest. Just kidding, because she's the biggest loser! (in game score).
Turn 137 (540 AD)
Tech learned: Sailing
Axeman promoted: Combat I
Mahavira (Great Prophet) born in Persepolis
Arbela grows: 2
Arbela finishes: Granary
Christianity has spread: Philadelphia (American Empire)
Mahavira (in Persepolis) can discover Theology. I'll wimp out and let the next player decide what to do with him!
Alright here's something I should mention: I hooked up sheep (near Arbela) and gems (Heliopolis). I was about to hook up the corn, then I thought, wait, don't hook up too many resources, leave some in case we need to take/settle a new city. So I left the corn "fallow". Not unitl later, after finishing, did I realize that we ALREADY HAD corn hooked up.

So the next player can hook that up.
Now the battle of Pi-Ramses, which began, embarrassingly enough, with our advance guard charging forth and... slipping on banana peels from the nearby trees...
Luckily our forces regained their composure and took the city!
Meanwhile, that Egyptian galley makes its way eastwards... I bet it's heading for that little cape SE of our capital, where that copper is. Next person should definitely keep an eye on this.
Turn 138 (560 AD)
Arbela begins: Lighthouse
Swordsman defeats (2.16/6): Egyptian Archer
Swordsman loses to: Egyptian Archer (1.68/3)
Swordsman defeats (2.76/6): Egyptian Archer
Captured Pi-Ramesses (Hatshepsut)
Axeman loses to: Egyptian Axeman (2.00/5)
Archer loses to: Egyptian Axeman (4.25/5)
Persepolis finishes: Swordsman
Heliopolis finishes: Library
Okay now here is where things get away from me a bit. First, my stupid worker wanders off and gets captured by Egyptian forces closing in on Pasargardae.
Then, I try but fail to prevent them from PLUNDERING OUR IRON MINE--only two archers and an axe in Pasargardae, versus two axes--and lost 2 out of 3 units in the process.

Currently there should be enough units left between Pasargardae and Persepolis to handle the Egyptian raiders, but I could have handled it much better. Also, there is a worker by the iron, ready to mine it back up again.
Turn 139 (580 AD)
Persepolis begins: Axeman
Heliopolis begins: Axeman
Swordsman promoted: Combat I
Worker loses to: Egyptian Horse Archer (6.00/6)
The other problem area is west of Susa and Helio. I let our big stack sit on that hill for a turn or two too long, and generally didn't manage the units well. Now we've got a War Chariot at the gates of Helio... but we do have 2 swords and 2 archers in the city. A stack of 3 Egytian mixed units is approaching Helio also. Our big stack of 5 or so is heading up there. They also have a couple of single units nearby. We've got at least 2 units in all our other cities I think.
Good luck to the next general! Catapults will be available in two turns, and we will definitely need them if we want to take Thebes or any other Egyptian core city. Thebes has like 6 units, mostly archers. We are not currently in a position to march in there and take it. My war strategy going in was to take Pi-Ramses and wait for the first wave of Egyptian units to come at us, and intercept.
Turn 140 (600 AD)
Pasargadae begins: Archer
I think our cities look good. Our commerce still sucks. The lighthouses will help, as will courthouses when they get built.
Since resuming the war, we have knocked Hatty out of first place, to third; we've moved up to second, Vicky up to first. The Americans are fourth.
