Turn 15: 525 BC
Iron hooked up.
Barbarian disappeared. ???

Turn 16: 500 BC
Egypt founded Christianity in Helipolis.
Oracle built by Egypt.

Turn 17: 475 BC
Writing discovered. Polytheism started.

Writing.JPG

Turn 19: 425 BC
Library started in Persepolis. Need more culture and could use some scientists in the city.

Turn 20: 400 BC
Ivory is about to be connected.

After turn comments:

We have 2 axe and 1 sword for our SoD right now. I think we should build some more and go after Heliopolis. It has rice and sugar which we need and is a holy city.

Pasargadae is going to grow next turn and become unhappy. Persepolis is going to grow in 2 turns and become unhappy too. So now or next turn would be a good time to switch to representation if we want.

Right now we have only 3 cities and no real space to expand. I had a feeling it would come to this so I started building up our military. I think we should try to take out the Egyptians.

Soon after Writing I made Open Borders with the Malinese and Russians.

Good call on saving the prophet for Code of Law.

Agreed, nice idea. Founding a religion will help in many areas.

Also agree that Egypt makes the most sense as an early target. In terms of geography, and also because it looks like, from the screen above, that they still use warriors. And Heliopolis is a Holy City! :ar15: :egypt:

Maybe another possibility for a new city is here at white dot? I know there is dye there... the Yanks won't like it though.

So we wanted to get a religion, right? Ok, we shall have it!

Once Polytheism comes in, our prophet would give us Priesthood... oops.

Turn 2: Confucianism founded in a distant land
Crap, there goes that idea... someone already beat us to it.

So what was the other idea? Oh yeah... grab the holy city of Christianity...

Taking a look, hatty only has a couple archers in Heliopolis... easy pickings... so I declare on her after building a couple more swords...

Turn 7:
Captured Heliopolis (Hatshepsut)

We can keep it, since it will give us rice. Didn't lose a unit.

So now we have Christianity. Heliopolis will come out of revolt next turn, so then our prophet can go build the shrine. This will be good, give us some quick culture, as well as the income. Hatty already had Christianity in a couple cities, and we should try to spread it to our other cities soon. Also, Roosevelt and Vicky don't have a religion yet, we should try to spread to them as well to get on their good side.

Greyfox, you can continue the war if you think it's best... I have seen an axe or two, so Hatty's got copper somewhere. Just remember we have to raze any cities that won't give a resource.

The save:

When GreyFox Ascend the Throne ...

"Advisor, let's take a look at the situation ...

Hmmm... we are at WAR???

... we are at war with the power and score leader ???

.... this is going to interesting ...

Hmmm... let's check our cities .... Why is Pasargadae unhappy? ...

* clear throats * Ahem ... By decree of GreyFox the II, let there be Representation!"

VQ03-civic-rep.jpg

... and so, the problem of unhappiness is gone.... for now.

"Also, Sire, spy reported the Americans planning to steal the white dot ..."

Great turns Maquis and GreyFox.

A little late but Egypt has one source of iron and no copper. IIRC its by Memphis. Might want to pillage it if we keep on the war with Egypt. Oh and I remembered they just got another source of iron (at the end of my turnset) close to where the barb city was (near Thebes).

If the Russians have only 2 cities they might be a good target to take out next. Although I would prefer Malinese since they always give me lots of trouble in the endgame. I'm sure these civs has some resource we need. :D

Then it IS his fault for failing to settle white dot, not mine! ... in any case,

Ya know, I long for the days when I started wars, founded cities, took cities, etc... It seems all I ever get now is SoDs at my doorstep  and no peace options *clears throat* I think I'll disband the settler out of spite :mischief:

Ya know, I long for the days when I started wars, founded cities, took cities, etc...

Aren't you the one who wanted to step it up to monarch, instead of prince? Sounds like you want to get back to noble... maybe VQ04 should be a settler SG? :rotfl:
