Under the assumption that the Ports will backstab us at the next turn, we are not able to build a new town in our southwestern region. In the east, the Vikings and the Byzantines prohibit settlements. The later ones block any attempt to build a new town at our western borders. Since the Vikings obviously are crossing Iroquois territory just now, no settlements are possible in the south. Even a settlement within our borders, for the only benefit of having our sixth army, would be dangerous right now. As soon as we'd loose one city, we would loose that army as well.

2 trebs bombard Byzantine musket at Theveste, taking 1 hp. 2 Knights attack musket, 1 killed, 1 taking him out and retreating to Theveste for recovery.
1st NumMerc and 3rd Horse Army move with 10 trebs on iron mine, bombarding Byzantine musket, redlining him. Bombarding the Greek Hoplite causes no damage. Horse Army takes out Musket, loosing 1 hp (now 17/19)
Gracious Japs (8 cities left) would sell Invention for iron, 10 gold and 16gpt. I agree, since Japs are at war with Byzantines, Greek and Babylonians. So, they will (hopefully) take their part of the pressure, and we will be one step closer to Gunpowder propelled projectiles.
