Warhammer Fantasy Mod 2.5

Does anyone know if:
- The Empire has improvements or Wonders that only him and not the others oldwolders can have ?
- Same things for Kislev ?

Thanks.

Ok, thanks for the answer.

Another question:

Does the civadvance "Old World" has any other uses than been a prereq to "knightly orders" and "architecture" ? Does it, for exemple, render something obsolete ? I don't have seen anything in this sense, but I would like to be sure.

Thanks.

Could anyone link me to the latest Warhammer map that is compatible with version 2.5 of the mod? I love this mod, and I'd love to play it in the "real world" of Warhammer!

Hmm, maybe I am not doing this right but it has been a long time since I've done this:

I extracted the files to my CivIIIComplete/Conquests/Scenarios folder, but when I try to use the .biq it says there is a file missing and crashes out. What did I do wrong?

And actually, it lets me get to the "PIck your tribe" screen, but when I select a race it says the art file isn't there and crashes out. Hmm!

That's what it seemed at first, but now when I use the OldWorld.biq, I get past the Slann bug and instead the faces of the leaders aren't there at the tribe select screen. when I choose a leader, it crashes. This is for the Old World map linked above, btw.

There you have the answer: you're using an old map BIQ that is incompatible with mod version 2.5.

Hi just a quick question. Are there any maps that are compatible with the new version available to download?

Seeing as we are throwing questions out, I guess I'll toss one in too: I am playing as the Dark Elves and the description of the coldone Chariot states that it upgrades to coldone knight when in fact it doesn't. Is this a miss statement in the civilopedia or a broken upgrade path? Would it make more sense to upgrade the dark rider to the coldone knight instead, cause I'd like to keep the Chariot for it's extra hp's........what are the WH experts thoughts on this please.

@DaBriki316:
What do you mean by a "real world map" ? The "real" warhammer world map or our real world?

@MariusDarkheart:
The 2 ones that you can find THERE are really great and fully compatible with the 2.51 version (I'm currently playing on, so that's sur).

@Ultramarine:
That's strange, I did have play the dark elves and I don't remember having such a problem. I have just cheked the rules too, and the upgrade path seems ok. Are you sur that you have: 1) barracks 2) iron 3) beasts in the cities where you try to make the upgrade?

I checked all the requirements and yeah I seem to have it all, but here look for yourself.....I can build the coldone knight from scratch I just can't upgrade to it.:confused:

I have found: there is effectively a technical problem in the mod: the upgrade path from cold chariot to cold knight is ok, BUT the cold chariot is not marked as upgradable so the path is not active :lol:

To change it, use the civeditor:
- open your WH2.5.biq
- in the "rules" menu select "edit rules"
- go in the "units" section
- in the main menu search "cold one chariot" and when you're on, chek "upgrade unit" in "special actions" on the right

The good point is that it will certainly correct the problem. But the bad point is that it will occur only in futur games, not in your current one! Because the changes you make in the "rules" have no effect on saved games, even if they com from this .biq :(

Recently I stopped upgrading.. The poor undeveloped bastards don`t stand a chance.

I am even thinking of removing all upgrades, so I can fight the AI on equal terms. I won`t charge his peasants with my heavy infantry. If I fight a civ stuck in 2nd age, I won`t go with dragons and what not. Maybe one or 2 :mischief: Could be fun, I`ll let you know how it goes.
