I love that pic Sez. You and Ploep have done wonders with my brethren. :D

Thank you ;) had time yesterday and wanted to get some units done, so i didnt lay too much details in them. I hope i can do more impressive looking Wardancers and Waywatchers! (still need a triangle shaped hood for them...)

And yea, Ploe did some real funtastic jobs on the Highelves. Almost all Coreunits will be finished soon (still waiting for the High elf Archers and Silverhelmets)

@J: is it ment to be a cold one chariot in the wood elves army list?! and a dark elve hedge witch!? dont know much about their background, but i think it isnt a problem skinning the normal chariot or the warchariot Woodelfish... (Ploe remembered me that we now can do all the races` chariots, with Chalids "capital efforts" ;) (who did learn latin in school, too? )

those elves look amazing as does the whole mod. Any idea what there uu is goin to be???? (Wood and high)

:D about every unit for every civ is unique (or will be by the time we're done) not just graphics but stats and bonuses. The high, dark, and wood elf Special unit that is unique to their races is the Sorcerer (Sorceress for the DE) B/C Elves are inherently magical beings etc...

You can take a look at the armylists in one of the first 3 posts.

Well downloaded and played the map through 3 times, and i just gotta LOOOOOOVE it. I basicly had no problems with CTD's and errors at all, the things that was supposed to work at this point, did work. And the models are excellent. It really made me miss old days with warhammer, personally i always prefered orcs and gobbos and have still got a few of my figures.
I just can't wait too see 'em in game

i made an army list for the orcs when i was a bit boored and thought i'd post it for inspiration, so you'd might have to fit it in a bit, use it for whatever you like ;).

Ancient:

Ancient Warrior: Snotling Swarm
Ancient Spearmen: Night Goblin Spearmen
Ancient Archer: Goblin Archer
Ancient Axeman: Night Goblin Clubbers
Ancient Swordsman: Goblin Swordsmen
Shaman: Goblin Shaman
Horse Archer: None, Gets Night Goblin Netters Instead
Catapult: Orc Rock Lobber
Chariot: Wolf Chariot
Monster I: River Trolls
Scout: Snotlings scout
Galley: Snotling Raft ;)

Age of Magic

Citizen: ?
Militia Spearmen: Orc Spear Boyz
Militia Archer: Orc Arrer Boyz
Militia Swordsmen: Orc Boyz
Light Knight: Squig Hoppers
Hedge Wizard: Night Goblin Shaman
Bolt Thrower: Spear Chukka
War Chariot: Snotling Pump Wagon
Monster II: Giant
Explorer: Snotling Explorer
Caravel: Destroyer

Age of Discovery

Royal Guard: Black Orcs
Pikemen: Orc Big'Un with pikes
Longbowmen: None, (perhabs Night Goblin Squig Herd instead?)
CrossBow: Orc Big'Un with crossbows
Heavy Knight: Boar Rider
Wizard: Orc Shaman
Cannon: DOOM DIVER!
Galleon: Orc Longboat
Frigate: Juggernaught

Mechanical Age

Musketman: Hmmm i was thinking something like a Goblin alchymist throwing bombs like the grenadier?)
Monster III: Wyvern (perhabs with a rider`?)
Ironclad: Giant Dragon Turtle
Special Unit: Night Goblin Fanatics

Personally i'd love for the Black orcs and the Snotling pump wagon to follow the old concept art since the new ones sux (especially those facial masks on the black orcs)
And when i write Orc rock lobber, i do mean ORC rock lobber and not that new goblin rock lobber (though the orc bully provided is quite nice) :O).
everything except the musketman, the scout, the explorer and the boats should be perfectly in order with the Orc army book. Also if you need pictures and conceptual art for some of it, ask and i will see if i can find something ;)

Yes! that's the sort of feedback I like. We may have to adjust some things but it's a start. Me too likes the old fashion more so I will see what to push through of that.
Referring to the list(only some quick notes now):

Black orcs as royal guard- yes that's where they belong

ancient era- want to mix it more, want savage orcs there too

pumpwagon's better for mechanical age I think and boarchariot for warchariot instead

the fanatic could replace a wizard somewhere

horsearcher->wolfrider

would love to have the squigs but we definitly need completly new animated models for these, well for lot of others too.

Or maybe we put the nightgoblins as religious units, JP? The greens are such a diverse army. There's no place for everything in the ordinary list that has to be in. Apropos I still need a list of the planned religious units.
Good to have discussion on that:)

This mod is looking really great. Long time fan of GW's games. Always more of a painter than gamer, as it goes. Love the new units. I'll give it a go next weekend.

-> always more an graphics designer than a civ gamer ;)

nice to read that, cause i just renegated again and well, it seems i heard your thoughts...
i started a first approach to the orcs (gobbos are in developement too), cause i wanna see them in too. I think they as orcish as i can get them with the limited tools we have. (btw thats a great prophets head :P ).
If we should get a real orc head, we surely can switch it. but for now i think this is the best way to resemble them. (skins are not finished) Axeman Animation works fine, Swordsman animation needs tweaks.

Well, in game shots will come as everything works fine.

Wow! Fantastic looking orcs. I can't imagine that you could improve on it much. Looks great!

great orcs seZ!

sorry testers, I'm not quite done with the next test. :( been more busy than I anticipated (I'm packing to move + finals + work  cry me a river I know ) I'll post it as soon as possible. Gotta few hours tonight.

I started this project partially to learn a bit about being in the games biz. At least I'm learning why they always push back release dates

Impressive overall, but the blade of the halbard isnt quite right. Looks plastic and toy-like, not like a real blade.

Stunning otherwise.

Ha! This i like.
