Hello! I'm Pedro. I'm portuguese but I'm living in Germany. I play Civilization IV for 5 months but I'm a beginner. Actually, I'm playing older "Games of the Month" because I find them very interesting and fun, and they are actually good to start developing my game skills... I wish a Merry Christmas to the community. :)
 
Hello people!

A friend of mine has tried to get me to play Civ 5 for ages... I thought I wouldn't like a game like that but then for some reason I decided to give it a go, annnnnddddd...I'm hooked :mischief: :D

I've been looking around these forums for a while now, trying to learn to play better...I've learned a TON, especially from MadDjinn's and Wainy's videos (thank you guys, you're my heroes!) and now I finally decided to join the community.

So: hi!, don't be too harsh on my noobiness :p and looking forward to getting to know you all!
 
Hi. I bought a retail copy of Civ 5. Loaded it onto my laptop, using stream. I THINK I've logged on ok. BUT. When I look in my account I don't have Civ 5. The only way I can seem to get it is to buy it via a download. Is this right? I thought I'd already got it?
What's going on?

So allow me to do so now.

I'm nearly on my 30's and I've been playing civ V from near 3 months now and accumulated more that 500 hours ( steam says so ) playing it.

I've never played any other civ game before.

my favourite civ is without a doubt the greeks, I'm not really a warmonger but I never fall back from a fight.
Second comes the Aztecs ( Moctezuma and not Montezuma as they say:mad:, then the mongols, and I'm tempted to play as Napoleon.

and once someone DOW me or if I DOW someone, it is victory or death. ( unless I win some flattering bonuses, or if I am to far behind in tech, I'm not stupid either ).

my favourite victory is the science one, it is the most difficult to get I think.

I 've never played beyond the prince difficulty as I still don't master all the specificities of the game. ( I still manage to lose on that difficulty level :sad: )

I hope that we will get along nicely.

Hello, been playing various Civ games since one came out basically, although I have and will not touch 5 as I do no business with Steam ;) Favorite is Alpha Centauri and wish they would release a proper sequel to that someday (a man can dream) mostly signed up to find help for the Star Trek mod of Civ 4, which I am off to do so.

I have been playing Civilization since the early 90s, actually started on the Amiga :)

I like CIV 3 PTW the best so far, but wanted to start playing Civnet again. Anyone interested in joining ?

Hello fellow Civ players.
Been reading this site for a few months now and decided to join up.
Play civ4 all the time, struggle at noble,
Don't have any mods etc, just the basic civ4 game.
Currently trying to get my first win at earth civ18 on noble as the last game I played , I won in score but was beaten to a victory by America via space race by a measly 11 turns.

Anyway, really happy to be here and hope to compete in some GOTM eventually. :)
 
Hi to everyone, I am Edgardo and I registered in the webpage a few days ago. I am chilean and I am doing my PhD in Physics in Germany.

I usually play Civ V and Civ IV, but know I am trying to play in a "higher level", thanks to the posts and guides on this forums I reached emperor on Civ IV!!!, I hope to continue improving my Civ skills, hehehe.

I'm playing only civ3 for years, and for now I will play it againd... with new scenarios from this site.

Hello all!

I've been hearing about Civilization for years... and yesterday, thanks to Steam's discount, I decided that the right moment came :) I'm quite new to "heavy" strategic as Civilization seem to be, but I hope I can spend some time to learn the concepts and dive into the game.

Don't be too hard on me if I decide to try multiplayer :)
