Hey all. I'm a huge CIV IV fan (especially BTS). I started out with civ II gold edition and loved it (years ago, but still fun to play every once in a while). Now my favorites are rhye's and fall of civs and fall from heaven 2 for bts. I've played civ 5 and liked it but imo 4 is better. Just recently been dling mods and scenarios and maps and what not and figured id join the forums. I also have made a bts map of westeros (game of thrones setting) if anyone wants to check that out.

I have also been lurking on here forever but am really enjoying Civ 5 and decided to say hello. I can't beat Prince though, always come in second so I have a lot of reading to do.

I've been playing off and on for I don't know how many years, you'd think I would be gosu amazing... yeah, not quite... worse than that - I became a YouTube director/'let's player'... now I play the game for the world to see (as well as a bunch of other games)... chaos ensues...
Actually it's been great hearing from everyone! There are some amazing Civ players out there - I'm not one of them... but hey, I really have a fun time doing this. And now that I've joined this community... well, maybe you all can learn me a thing or two.

Hey everyone.
I have for the longest time searched for a game that I can funnel effort and thought into, and that will keep for a while, and I decided that Civilization is the game for me. So I'm going to be learning how to play Civilization V. And I was hoping that this forum will be a veritable catalyst for me to really enjoy and get the most out of the game.
So that being said, I'm new here, I hope to be here for a while and I hope to really enjoy this game.

Hello everybody,
I've been playing Civ games on and off for some time, though the only titles I have really gotten deeply into have been Alpha Centauri and now Civ5.
Alpha Centauri because I just loved the setting, leader personalities, the path to a diplomatic victory and unit customization.
Civ5 however overcomes my greatest gripe with the series by bringing the 1upt combat system in place of the endless stacks.
So, while I've been playing Civ5 since release I've been looking for a good place for discussions and I know I need not look further. Just have to turn myself from a lurker into a an active contributor.
