Hey! I have been around a little but I finally decided to register and join the community :).

Hi all - I'm not a new member, but I'm a proud owner of a new copy of Civ V!

Gonna see if I can get more involved in the community, and maybe even modding - being a developer - this time round so see you all in the forums :)

Hi guys. An average gamer here but have played civ since 96 or so. I'm suprised at all the negative stuff about 5. I have a decent machine with a new graphics card and the only problem has been a crash when I go to the strategic view.So far so fun for me.

Hi Everyone,

My brother in law introduced my wife and I to Civ IV. I'm finding the game addictive, but overwhelming at times *smiles*. I have the Civ IV complete edition, and I'm trying to beat the game with each victory condition for every difficulty setting. So far I've only succeeded with timed victory on Setter difficultly. Anyway I'll be lurking around the Civ IV sections of these forums for a bit, learning as much as I can.

Regards,

Raven

Hello all!

I'm new to the forums, but I have been playing Civ since Civ II, and just got Civ 5. It seems pretty good so far, but I cant wait for a mod to make it a bit more in depth!

Anyways just thought I'd introduce myself o/

Hi I've found the forum a while back when I switch from civ 2 to 4 a big jump. Now it all starts again with 5 thought it was time to register and contribute.

Good afternoon everyone, I have been on the forums for probably 2 years and never posted, just realized that... Anyways I have been playing Civ since the days of the original and recently started Civ 5.

I have been having quite a bit of trouble with the game, but I will address this in the proper forum.

I hope to make the acquaintance of several members and perhaps play a couple of games:D

Hello Everyone. I bought Civ V a few days ago and decided to dig deeper into this one. I've used this site for a lot of downloads and lessons on modding since 2001 when I stumbled upon Civ III. I didn't do any modding with Civ IV so I'm very rusty on how it all works. From what I've browsed in forums a lot has changed.

Guess I'll mark my calender as "fully scheduled" through winter as soon as the tools are released.

So...Hello.
Cordially,
Dr. Cube

I've been a voyeur on this site for awhile now. I started pretty late, so I have been learning without really having much original to contribute. I do like the tone of the site very much, with the (good natured) humor and patience with dumb questions. Maybe with CivV I can start a little bit earlier in the process.

Hi everyone, I'm working through the depth of Civ V and lurking through the strategy section. I am hoping you can weed me through the good and bad mods.

Cheers.

Hey guys and dolls!

I have registered here quite a few years ago but i guess i have never posted before. Been playing Civ since i got Civ1 on the Amiga500 back then and got hooked ever since. Started Civ5 yesterday and realized i wont get enough sleep for a long time!

Greetings from a dutch Civ Fanatic :)

Welcome to CFC. Just check out this thread.

…take a few minutes to say hello and tell you why I’ve come. After a decade or so of prowling the board, panning for the pure gold of the modder community –whom I thank endlessly for their diligence and brilliance- I’ve decided to stop lurking and post. Why? While I’ve never been motivated to post before I’ve been moved to speak up on the matter of the crime against the community that is Civ 5.

If you love it, enjoy.
As for me, it's 50 bucks and several hours of my life that I'll never get back.

Hi all.
I've just started playing Civ 4 again. I havn't played it for a long while, and I didn't play on it much at that. Seeing Civ 5 motivated me to play it again.
I have also just bought a copy of Civ 5 (not on steam; a physical copy) but I can't play it yet because my computers to old. A pity. Anyway, it looks like Civ 5 needs a lot of fixes to all the gameplay and technical issues, so I'll probaly not be playing it for a few months.
See you on mp!

Hey y'all :band: I'm waiting for my copy of CV to arrive. I pre-ordered it around Easter time, and I guess the idiots in the Post Office in Miami haven't put that particular box on the plane yet :( Will keep waiting.

Lost my old login, but, for all intents and purposes, I'm still a serious noob. I have owned Civ 3 & 4, but never found the time to get into them. With 5, now, though, I finally have the time. Just frustrated trying to determine farm/mine/TP, etc. It's a good frustration though!
