On the bus:

Clinical Psychology: fourth edition

Before I fall asleep ... nothing really, since I haven't found anything good lately. I'm rereading bits of Stephen Baxter's Ring

I just finished 1984 by Orwell. It's one of those books you know you should read, but for some reason I waited a very long time before getting it. It has become one of my favorite book. I'll buy Animal Farm soon. Looks like Orwell's writing are right up my alley.

I bought 1984 with gifts certificates I received on my birthday and I also picked up Les Fourmis by Boris Vian. It's a collection of short novels by this french genius. I only read the first one and I've been conquered. It's funny, witty, caustic and just not something I would have expected from a 40's and 50's writer/singer/poet.

My girlfriend got me 1984 about 2 months ago. I really could read that at night, and I should. I was skimming through it when I went someplace I didn't feel like talking, but haven't had one of those for awhile.

Same here; it just feel kind of weird, since I go to the libaery so often; yet never read one of the 20th century's great writers.

I read Animal Farm in 7th and 10th grades. Great book, I am sure you will love it.

@HC: In my local SF shop you can get something like part 9 and 10 in the series. I have 1, 2, 3 and 9, they're good. :)

@Babbler: I think the referee added a few posts overtime. ;)

NNNOOOoooooooooo!!!!! i missed the final thread in my jigsaw :(

Reading - The Neutronium Alchemist.

Long live the thread! :)

I'm reading Roma Eterna, by Silverberg. Pretty good.

I have two books waiting on the bed side that are eagerly awaiting my reading, can't recall the names though...

Right now, I'm reading El Diablo de la Botella by Robert Louis Stevenson.

EDIT: here is all about the book, unfortunately, I couldnt find it in English, well, for all spanish speakers, here is the link: Diablo de la Botella .

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, by Douglas Adams, and I'm almost finished.

I'm planning on picking up We, by Yevgeny Zamyatin, has anyone read this before? Is it any good? Most reviews seem to say so.

I will also be reading Brave New World, by Aldous Huxley for school. Any thoughts on that book?

Then I might have to read His Dark Materials again, just for the heck of it, it's good stuff.

Moderator Action: Merged. One thread will be sufficient for now.

i think the usual idea is at 1000 posts the original gets locked.. but id assume you know that.

Currently I'm reading Catch 22. Books waiting to be read are "Freakenomics", "Mao: The Unknown Story" and Ayaan Hirsi Ali's book "The Caged Virgin"

Any good? I have it sitting on my desk, waiting for a chance to read it.

Halfway through. Great read so far. A reminder of the recent cruelties in 'the Balkans' packed together with the usual thrill.

There are numerous exceptions to the rule.

Just read some bits of Earless by Tyler Menssen (The author is a member of CFC, so I'll let him speak for himself, if he wants to.)
