What country is that from? Picture edition!

What, do you want the province, or a general region?

Either is fine as Russia has to much Oblast's to remember.

Bonus points if you get the Oblast though.

It's actually quite an obvious location in Russia to.

Is it somewhere on a river? :p

It's not Russia

Okay lets break it down...

It is a little hard to see but there is a slash on those crosses, so it is an Orthodox Church.

The Onion Dome means something Russian-related. But is is not Russia.

However the Church's architecture is not Byzantine (more neo-Byzantine) or Russian-Medieval. So it must be an Othrodox Church that was built after Peter the Great came to Russia and possibly after neo-Byzantine came out. But it is not Russia. I would also say Bulgaria...But Its not Bulgaria.

I see a skyscraper in the back. Looks like a residential block. And reminds me of these buildings.

But those are Singaporean apartments...

Doesn't look Stalinist or Communists. It cant be more than 10 years old.

So it is an Othrodox Russian Church in a place that has new buildings and was not affected by Stalinism. Its not Russia or Bulgaria... Cant be Greece either, they dont built these kind of buildings...

I want to say Finland... Or... perhaps... where else is Orthodox Influenced... hmm... Japan? Japan has a significant Orthodox community and is near Russia and has modern buildings that look like that block in the back.

EU3 tells me Orthodoxism (:dunno:) was also quite popular in the balkans, including but not limited to modern day Bulgaria. :king:

Naw.. EU3 is highly inaccurate in terms of "culture buildings" You dont see Krelims in Poland do you?

Anyway, Its not "Mediterranean" enough to be Greek or Cyproit. A lot of Modern Serbia and Romania (After 1850) is built in Art Nouveau, Biedermeier styles.

While Albania was under Ottoman rule during the neo-Byzantine period (as the church is) so most likely immune to the influence.

Slovenia, Croatia is Catholic and very heavily Austrian Influenced.
