Pour Decision Maker
Blah, blah, blah election. Enough about that nonsense. Let's talk about the real issues. Like Daniel Craig's tuxedo jacket at the Skyfall Premiere.
The jacket is a sharpened diamond jacquard shawl-collar evening jacket. As you can see, it has some glossiness to the jacket itself, but matte lapels. Notably, the lapels are sort of rounded, rather than being notched. Is it an appropriate modification to the tuxedo or is it postmodern nonsense?
I'm inclined to say it is almost acceptable. He's only really modifying one piece of the suit and is keeping it traditional with the shirt, tie, and pants, but I can't help but feel that the glossy jacket combined with the matte and soft lapels makes it look like a smoking jacket. I probably would have done one or the other, that is switch the gloss from the lapels to the jacket or remove the notches from the lapels?
What do you think of this serious, serious issue?
