What do you think your ancestors did for fun?

Probably much the same things as I. Drank, had sex, played sports, whined about politics, etc.

Get drunk and dance around teh campfire.

Make sexy time, with unsexy neanderthal-esque ladies.

Made fun of the overlords.

Played sports, the hardcore sort that would leave you sore because of a missing limb.

Razed a village or two.

(Okay, the last two might not apply to half my ancestry, who were Swiss )

Spent a lot of time indoors telling stories in the wintertime. Summertime, hunting, fishing, trading, and getting set up for the long cold winter. On my dad's side, at least. Not sure on my mom's.

Well, my paternal lineage has some people renowned for what they did for fun!

Back in the mid 19th century Impeccable was notorious for creating numerous prank messages with the Telegraph.

Before that in the early 17th century Flawless would exchange humourous messages via glass bottles.

And in the late 10th century Spotless would lure homing pigeons into traps and release them with swapped messages or added amusing anecdotes.

And who Could Forget the Roman Emporor Perfectavian, who designed elaborate planned cities that spelled out jouvenile sex puns!

My ancestors were all pretty much peasants, so I doubt they had as much leisure time as you and I all do.

I wonder if any of my ancestors did that hoop and stick thing? That woulda been so cool!

We killed Englishmen. Then joined them.

Scottish ancestors? Me too.

In retrospect to my last post, my Swiss ancestors prolly did a fair bit of killing themselves, with the French invaders and all.

Farmed, and Drank.

And every so often, they'd feed that ever present desire to kill stupid people: neighbors, fellow market goers, etc. :mischief:
