My ancestors were Polish farmers, so I would assume they enjoyed reveling in nationalistic sentiments for the past two hundred years.

Swim in seasonal rivers the day after a huge thrunder storm. Horeseraces,Played in a family band at party's etc, Had a lotof party's,drank alot. Bassicly the same thing I do. Except that they ussually lived together (or at least close) and probably were alot more happy.

The Czech branch probably did whatever it is that peasants did to have fun, get drunk, have sex, ect...
The Norwegian branch probably had a bit more fun and went around looting stuff, they probably also tested their endurance by making bets on how much Lutefisk they could eat before throwing up.

Aside from what was already mentioned, they probably attended highly prestigious religious ceremonies like the Bachanallia for fun.
One thing is said about the people around here - it's a logical thing. We were under heavy occupation/colonisation most of the time and we still made/make up the majority of the population.

Actually, mediaeval peasants had roughly the same amount of free time as modern Americans. Yes, working in fields is hard 10-12 hours a day job, but you get sunday free, every bloody catholic holiday free and most of winter free.

I thought now was the time you were free both saturday and sunday. And most here in Sweden gets lot of holidays and days off. Yes, I heard you over the Atlantic only have ten non-weekend/holidays days off. What a shame.
They hunted, and gathered, and farmed, and fought, for business, it isn't what they did for fun. My ancestors probably partied and boozed and sang and danced and made art and all that, just like humans have been doing for fun for millenia.
