A single R-36 intercontinental ballistic missile launched from a missile silo in Western Siberia slammed into an unidentified object crusing at 90 percent of the speed of light, shattering it into a billion pieces which littered low Earth orbit.
The Genesis Device created another planet, one hospitable to life. Billions of troops from both side scramble to claim the planet. Miles above the surface, numerous spaceships skirmished with numerous enemy vessels, enveloping the nascent world in debris and explosions.
Then I come in, use a Galaxy Gun to blow up every last enemy, then claim it for myself. Then I procede to set up a large series of MAC gun platforms to protect it from everybody.
Reinforcements from the multitiude of armies kept coming, overwhelming orbital defences with concentrated fire and sheer numbers. Orbital bombardment destroyed most defence emplacements on the surface. Millions of vessels were destroyed, and parts began raining on the planet.
I use the Galaxy Gun to re-blow them all up from another galaxy. Then I post I warning around the planet: "If I can't have it, it'll be glassed and nobody will have it!!"
Numerous enemy powers realized the impregnability of the planet, and from their military doctrine decided that a hostile planet which could not be conquered be completely annihilated. It took only a few second for every mote of the new planet to be disintegrated, ending the life of a new world only months old.
