What have you repaired lately?

I have a pair of sliding glass doors on my seaside balcony. Each has had a fiber screen because the sea air eats up metal. We've recently repaired two fiber screens because my cats have ripped their way through. The bottom half of each is now a metal sheet, with the top half a combo of thick mesh to repel rats [and cats] and fine mesh to repel insects.

I have at last some extra cash, so I will replace the two remaining fiber mesh doors with doors which will match my new ones.

My brother just installed these in his house. They replace his non existent storm/screen doors for warm weather.

You either asked a neighbor or friend, or you paid a professional.

Going by the questions I get from people regarding clipping cats' claws, I could actually make a bit of money doing that here, as some people will actually pay a vet to do what is really not that hard. At least a third of the tenants in this building have cats and some have asked me how to do claw-clipping. In one case I told my neighbor, "Bring the kitten over now and I'll show you how to do it."

I bought a house a couple months ago, so I've been doing pretty much nothing but repairing things since then.

Currently partway through insulating sealing/insulating all the outlets on exterior walls and levelling out all the receptacles/switches so that they're perfectly level with the wall and face plate.
