Nickel and up.
Pennies just have no value anymore.

I voted Quarter.

Although lately I've been scrapping together change for extra snacks at lunch, and its working quite well, so I would probably pick up a nickel and up.

Quarter and up. Have no use for the other denominations. Unless it was a steel penny from WW2.

Pennies can be useful. They can make awesome projectiles.

However, if I see one and it would just take too much trouble to pick it up, I'd leave it.

A penny, only if it's SHINNY :D

Shiny pennies are cool, I'll admit to that.

As for the options above....two-dollar bill? When's the last time anyone's seen one?

The pennies will keep adding up....

Two days ago, I bought a candy bar with it,

Depends on the condition of the coin. Shiny and new then a penny up. Covered in dirt then quarters. Covered in gum or trash then I'll ignore it unless it's a bill (but who sees those on the streets?)

Penny, get a hundred of those make a dollar it adds up over time, get a million and you get money (in no mood to do math, course I am never in a mood to do math)

What the ****!! You gave up a two dollar bill for a candy bar.:confused:I would have held on to it until I died.

Think about it for a sec...

Assuming it's not difficult to pick it up (which it would be if you were carrying something, had a heavy backpack on, are crippled, etc.), it takes about five seconds (probably less) to pick up a penny. This means that it takes one minute to pick up 12 pennies. One hour to pick up 720. This means $7.20 an hour. With nickels, $36 an hour. $180 an hour in quarters.

I'd say it's worth it to pick up any amount of money off the street, assuming it's not nasty and you're not in Japan or Mexico. ;)

a quarter- I usually carry only bills- and often no ones (5s', 10s', and 20s' for me...), some spare change can always help

sometimes a penny and almost always a nickel. I was once privilaged to find a 10 dollar bill on the ground.

Quarter and up. If it's really dirty looking then it has to be a higher denomination or I have to be desperate.
