What is the source of your CFC nick?

I am Davo and I am a raving mad communist who eats babies.

Alternatively, you go look at previous threads on this matter where I have explained all.

Some brilliant kid went to my school from kindergarden up until 7th grade, and his name was Cem Atlas. When I had to create a username to register on this forum, I thought of the kid who was the smartest in history that I had ever known in my life, and Cem Atlas's name came to mind. In 6th grade, Cem was correcting our braindead social studies teacher on the pronounciation of Cataal Hayut (sp?), and gave a rather detailed description of what the city's importance was. He was frieken amazing when it comes to history. The annoying thing was he was also intelligent in math and nearly every other subject as well.

Sophie is my name, and 378 is part of my university-assigned email address. Coincidentally, the last two numbers of my Uni ID are 78, and I joined in 03. :hmm: Wonder if that's linked or not?

Probably is.

Even if other people aren't, they usually have a set system to handing out the addressess. They might have reieved their address from a different way of classifying the address code.

Mine is a deliberate misspelling of a nickname a friend thought up for me in 8th grade. My real name is Toby, and my friend, always looking for new ways to mock people, started calling me "To6y," pronounced as if saying the words toe six why, because he thought that my b's looked like 6's. I thought it was pretty funny, and it seemed a good choice for a screen name when I had to think of one. I added the h and w to make it more phonetic (so I thought at the time, anyway) and less obvious that it was based on my real name (but of course that doesn't really matter anymore, mm?).

A good choice for a screen name indeed!

Bird Jaguar was ruler of the Mayan city of Yaxchilan from 752 to 771 AD. The Mayan civilization is one of my ongoing interests. In addition, I found a nice graphic for an avatar that goes with the name.

Last time I posted in a thread like this it was a little something like this:

Paal + Pericles + mix together for 3-4 hours = Paalikles

I was very much into Ancient Greece, and the leader of the Greek democracy.

More into economics now, and less history interested.

I made mine up, completely. It was created a few years ago for an online MUD game based in the LOTR universe... my character was a swamp dwelling elf. It seemed easy to remember, so ive kept it for every forum or online game that I play.
