It actually out with me and my friend, were playing Animal Crossing (yes, I know ) The little people in the game looked like vikings, and when I got an axe I started swinging it around. like a mad viking... name stuck

I first started "foruming" on a Morrowind Forum and then the choice was logical..... after that I became more and more "Evlish" and Utopian (that goes well with eternal elves)

While stationed in Alaska, I had to create an AOL chatroom screename. People from elsewhere would always ask me if, being in Alaska, I lived in an igloo, so I might as well just put it in the name.

Dude comes from a pickup line I used in college - "My name is Steve, but you can call me Dude."

And up until a year ago, I was the only IglooDude on the 'net, until some idiot at GameSpot started using it too.
