I don't talk about how much I'm on with anyone other than close family. To me, finances are a personal thing.

Thus I didn't vote.

you should get a honorary swiss citizenship right there ;)

Let me do Military Service and guard the Vatican and I'm in! :D
Only if you agree to (a) wear those silly stripey orange pants and (b) have your helmet polished five times a day. [/Vatican Human Resources Manager]

Well if I'm going to have to cut down so drastically I suppose I'll have to find some other financial haven to move to. Do the Cayman Islands have Military Service yet?

Yes they do. But you have to agree to (a) wear boldly patterned board shorts and (b) have your coconuts massaged five times daily. [/Cayman Military HR Manager]

Rambuchan, what do you do? Are you a "negotiator" ?
I am a model for would-be helmet polishers and coconut masseurs.

He scowers the internet entering debates and getting people to read "Transcend".

They give him commission for each hit they get.

That's why he's often debating on these sites. Couldn't give a rats a** for neo-colonialism really.

well, you could serve my remaining term, as long as you don't act enthusiastically, nobody will notice anyway ;)

it's just standard army though, no fancy-schmancy swiss-guard frock ...

Well, those jobs sure pay nicely...
Please bear in mind: (a) at the time of posting the US$ is sitting at just under two dollars to the British pound. If I had answered the OP's question earlier this year, then my answer would have been around the 45k mark. (b) I invested a huge percentage of my own money from doing shite jobs from years on end into education. (c) I have been very lucky in life (note to Prince: hence my urge to bring the same to others less so) (d) my job, which is brokering finance deals between entrepreneurs around the world to sources of finance elsewhere in the world, creates large amounts of wealth into both parties' economies, which in turn is reflected in my wage packet and finally (e) PrinceofLeigh is a lying little spamming wanker.
altough I wonder what kind of performance would grant the possible bonus as a coconut masseur...? Cracked nuts?
The simple answer to your question is: I have a cracking pair of nuts.

Cultural differences are interesting. In Norway, one's reported income is, by law, public information. For a while they've even published it online so you can search up somebody (anybody!) by name and birth year and find out how much money they made over the last few years.

Oh, and for the record, about $65 thousand, now. I'm a software/database guy.

Is that for those who work in both the public and private sector? I'd be bloody furious if someone could get ahold of my yearly earnings details.

Calm down, that's a bit ****ing harsh isn't it? I'm not little.

I used to make around 21 dollars (45 reais) per hour as an intern, but I just recently quit because I plan on traveling during this vacations.

This seems excellent for kidnappers.

At first yes. But as the kidnappers declare their income publicly online, the police just had to search for "kidnapping income", to find them and arrest them easily.
