I saw Descent. :)
Not bad, i expected a lot less from it.

I saw that one too. Pretty good, but it was like a 2 part TV movie, and Ive seen the 1st part only. It felt whats the word? Unfinished, sort of.

I saw Undercover Brother yesterday.

I didnt expect much, the last "ghetto" comedies Ive seen have sucked the big one (How High, Soul Plane and a few others), but Im a big fan of Eddie Griffin (the black guy in Deuce Bigolo)so I decided to give it a go.
It was really funny and damn that Denise Richards is hot.
Man Id like to bite her ass. :yumyum:

3/5

Not counting the bits and pieces of dross on TV over christmas, I watched John Huston's The Dead about a week ago (I bought it on DVD as a present for my father). I also watched Kill Bill Volume 1 again last night.

Over the weekend I watched a lot of B-movies, among them:

Gardens of Stone by Coppola, Medicine Man by McTiernan and Scrooged by Donner.

Yea, it could have gone either way at that point. (i should put these in spoilers)
Spoiler don't look if you didn't see Descent :
Actually if it would have ended like in her "dream" at the end (finding the exit) - i would have had a worse opinion about the movie.
IMHO good horror movies end: all dead or the surviving ones go insane or are considered insane.
In this movie the last one kinda went insane ... They could have made it end like that so that they could have a sequal. Some other people going to explore/the rescue team/her daughter eventually "tells" her to go berserk and kill all those troglodites and find the exit ....

But sequals of horror movies are rarely good. So i guess this is all we had.

Extras are crap.

I just read your post and the part in the spoiler didnt make any sense to me at all, I just figured out why, I accidentally quoted you, I wanted to quote someone who was talking about Pirates of the Caribbean 2.

Ive actually seen about 30 minutes of Descent, but I dont like horror movies. The night I watched the beginning of Descent, I dreamt I was a monster crawling around in that hospital (in the beginning) and there was a power outtage and I killed alot of people.

so yeah, I dont like horror movies. :yeah:

:goodjob: I wish i'd have some horror movie related dreams. :(

(so what kind of monster were you ? :mischief:)

i was crawling on my belly like a crocodile, but im sure i was something much scarier.

anyways, i watched beerfest yesterday. it wasnt great exactly, but it was ok. they mustve had like a 20,000 dollar budget for that movie or so.

2/5

Alexander Nevsky. Seen it before, and the sub-titling was just as difficult to read this time as it was last time. Poor placement. Still, outstanding movie.

Just saw Heat for the third time.

Amazing, amazing movie. If you haven't seen it yet, put it at the top of your list.

Yeah I remember the first time I saw Heat. I was in a cinema with a couple of friends.

I remember once, years later I was sitting around on my own, and heat was on the tv. I had been trying to quit playing CounterStrike, but after I saw the bank robbery shootout I just had to play for a few hours. :ack:

:ar15: :run:

Haha yeah I got that feeling to when I saw it for the first time.

That bank shootout scene has got to be one of the best movie gunfights EVER.:goodjob:

Saw Children of Men yesterday. It was good, though not quite worthy it's hype. Good acting, very nice camera work. I didn't appreciate the leftist meassages in there, but thankfully there wasn't too much of them. 4/5.
