What Pacific city would you like to visit the most?

Seeing as how there's every other "where would" thread out there, I notice most of them are based strictly in Europe...just thought I'd go out on a tangent here and post a ASIA quiz.

I voted Tokyo, but Shanghai, Manila, and Hong Kong are next in line.

I've always liked Asian cultures, so I'd like to visit all of those cities, except for Jakarta, really...

Oops! Correction: Pyongang also, I wouldn't visit...

I don't think I need to explain why.

I was wondering why you put Pyonyang, a sick joke? What about Ho Chi Minh, is that a nice city? I would not think so, as it is in Vietnam. I actually might have voted Bejjing if it were there, great ancient Chinese stuff.

Ho Chi Minh, so I've heard, is actually a pretty decent city (not exactly on par with cities like Bangkok, but just as well..)

I've heard the Vietnamese countryside is beautiful, though...

Actually, I have been fortunate enough to visit every city in the pol (except Pyongyang and Phnom Phen, of course), including Ho Chi Minh City (I call it Saigon...heck of alot easier). It is one of my favorites in the world, with a very vibrant culture, very friendly people, and the most amazing street scenes. Just imagine tens of thousands, all riding little Honda motorscooters, shuffling around the elegant French-built boulavards. Truly a facinating place.

Hands down though, finest city in the world is Hong Kong.

Well, that sure gave my opinion of Vietnam a 180! But Tokyo and Hong Kong are my top 2, hands down.

Been to several, but I would say Singapore, to visit my buddy Kob, and find out what his wife really thinks of him wearing a Star Trek uniform at his reception! :crazyeyes

Wouldn't really want to visit any of those listed, but Sydney is on the Pacific as such, and would be the closest I would get to that region. (Would not go to Brisbane, as that is way out in Terra Barbaricum )
Have been to Hong Kong for a few days, and Kuala Lumpur for a few hours in the airport, but was not amused or impressed at all; it just isn't my bag really.
