Ranch? The salad dressing? Wow. I'll try that. Room temperature?

Cayenne mayo is my usual, with a puddle of tobasco in it. I can't believe in this day and age people are still using ketsup.

A local pub here serves mango-curry mayo, a treat.

Mayo!!! Yikes! I never even thought about that. I may have to do a lot of expirementing tomorrow as i use either tomato ketchup or Ranch( :) )
try mixing Ketsup and Mayo. (which is basicly fry sauce.)
another good thing on frys is Tarter Sauce.

I definately must try mayo now. Too many people have suggested it for it to not be good. In fact, I think the bowling alley is open till 3 this morning, that leaves me 80 min, I think I'll have someone pick me up some of their fries(they have the best fries.)

I wonder if I have mayo....

Mac Donalds has fairly poor food compared to BK & Wnedy's ,etc. , but they really do have good fries, and it is the same worldwide for those that travel. MacD's usually cooks their fries right (e.g., not soggy), and they are quite tasty!

PS, I'm a crispy fry person, not soggy. No, I don't plan to do a crispy vs. soggy poll  ....

If you did do a "crispy vs. soggy" poll, you'd have to include MY favorite fry texture: tender. I love tender fries. Cooked, yes, but not crispy and not soggy. I usually have to cook fries at home to get them just the way I like 'em. For restaurants, there seems to be no middle ground.

I 3rd the crispy vote. Crispy holds more oil.

The challenge in food is to use the largest amount of oil possible without making the food seem overly oily. Mayo and hollandaise sauce can be eaten by spoon, they're so good. Can't do that with a tub of butter, yet it's practically the same thing.

Just a little salt for me thanks.

Although I may have to try that curry thing. I love curry, but would never have thought to put it on french-fries.
