Don't make me get Vuldacon to turn you into a Zombie Island enemy.
I already am a unit in a Civ3 mod, thank you very much.

That's right! CFC has made a Takhisis unit in a mod somewhere.

Well, some of us are too dead to post, thank you very much.
Blame those who voted for your death. And remember to invent reasons to vote for them next game.
Don't look at me. It's the GM who banned posting and fun.
 Posting was banned at night.

Edit: oh wait, you jest.

*sigh*

This is an excellent use of the map editor. :smug:

EDIT: I...think I'm off to a bad start...

I remember playing Civ III back in 2004. My Celero 400 wasn't quite powerful enough to run it, so it was prone to crashing during the end-of-turn cycle.

I bought SimCity 3000 to treat myself after I got a job. It was a ton of fun for about 10 hours and now I'm bored with it. It has a lot more options than the DS version but not enough to sustain the fun much beyond that. I might finally give some scenarios a go.

I saw that Steam is having a sale on Cities: Skylines right now ($10) and will also let you play the game for free for the rest of today. I downloaded it to try it out but as suspected, my laptop can't really handle it. I'm tempted to buy the title just because of the sale but that would be wasteful as I don't know when I'll be able to upgrade my computer again. Cell phone repairs and upgrades have largely eaten the budget I used to have for computer refreshes.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a great, ~$10 PC game? I'm open to anything.

XCOM 1 should still be on sale for $7.50 if you haven't played it yet

If you like stealth games, Aragami is on sale for a mere $4 and has been pretty good fun for that price

What does XCOM 1 play like? I've never played those games or paid much attention to them.
Do you like difficult games with a steep learning curve? AI War 1 is cheap and frustrating. And it's in SPACE!
What is AI War? What is the game play like?

A far more complex kind of Sins of a Solar Empire. Has a "base building" element in each star system. You field hundreds to thousands of ships, depending on the unit scale you pick in the settings. You can control those ships like in an RTS. Research is a limited resource. You research everything from ships to buildings to superweapons. The AI is difficult, as are the random events.

Hmm that sounds interesting but I think I prefer and easier/more casual game right now. Space themed is always up my alley. There was a Mars city sim that looked interesting but it was more than I wanted to spend.
