Also, on the way to Paradise Falls, Charon decided to chuck a grenade at some ants or a radscorpion or something that popped up along the highway. Unfortunately it lit one of the cars on fire and caused a giant chain explosion. I saw Dogmeat and Charon go flipping through the air but since I have an essential-companions mod they were both okay. I survived with like 7-8 HP left and all my limbs crippled.

I took away Charon's grenades after that, though.

I ran into an annoying problem in the Witcher 3.

So I go to look for some missing miners. I find out a rock troll killed them because they were bothering him. And although Geralt lets him live, every time I come out of the conversation window the rock troll immediately one-shots him anyways.

Maybe this is intended? I might have to go back to an earlier save and come back when I'm a little higher-leveled. :cringe:

Path of Exile: I found a two-handed sword named Terminus Est, Severian's executioner's sword from Gene Wolfe's The Book of the New Sun. I have to fashion a character to use it, though. You'd want to concentrate on Critical Strikes and Frenzy Charges, I would think, so probably either a Duelist/Slayer or a Ranger/Raider. Cyclone is probably a good fit, but I already have a character who does that, so I'd want to try something else. Shattering Steel, maybe? I've never tried that one. Also, thanks to @Birdjaguar for gifting my Gladiator a couple of neat-looking items.

I'm not sure what I did, but I managed to corrupt Testicles.

My testing neighbourhood in the Sims 2, I mean. :shifty:

So I got Devil May Cry 5 a year or so ago, as part of my GPU purchase. Never really looked into and barely even heard of the DMC series, so I didn't really care much about it, but I'm giving it a go now and it's actually pretty fun :)

Does anybody else have problems with mixing up controls when juggling between playing different games? It's a little frustrating sometimes.

Yes, especially with PS4 games for me. When possible, I try and change the control scheme so they all roughly match but it's not always an option. No Man's Sky on PS4 has especially dumb controls relative to normal FPS games and it won't let me change anything. I end up wasting a ton of resources doing stupid stuff by pressing the wrong button whenever I pick up that game.

I've finally started story mode in The Long Dark, but I'm finding that my familiarity with the Milton Map (from using it as my base in survivor mode) made the first Episode of the game ridiculously easy, even on the Hardest difficulty. I'm on Episode 2 now and I'm less familiar with the Mystery Lake map so it's been a little more difficult... got lost and jumped by wolves a few times... but I'm still pretty familiar with the map and its again making things pretty easy. I'm actually looking forward to Episodes that move away from the maps I'm so familiar with so I can experience being "lost" in the game's environment once again.

In FO4 I got to the end of a complicated mission and got fragged. So I redid the mission and encountered a bug that took a bit of working around to fix. Finished the mission, got nearly back to my base and got tagged by a random mini nuke while running on the elevated highways. I did not save the game before this happened. :(

@hobbsyoyo In Fallout: New Vegas there's a glitch where various mods can accidentally trigger the explosive-collar script from the Dead Money DLC and cause the Courier's head to spontaneously explode. Sadly, this is one of those glitches I only got to hear about second-hand.

Hmm I think I poorly worded that post. The glitch I encountered was that a scribe I was escorting would not interact with the terminal he was supposed to interact with. I had to leave the facility and re-enter it to get him to do his thing. Later on while returning to my home base after the mission, I ran across a contingent of very high level gunners on the elevated highway that nuked me as soon as the firefight started. I had all of 5 seconds to react before I head the whistle of the incoming fat man round and by that point the fight was over. I lost.

I seem to run into that problem at some point in every Bethesda game I've played. Except Morrowind, but then you have NPCs falling into the canal in Balmora instead.

Rather hilariously, one of those mods is a player home mod.

I'm sure you'll get the game to glitch in that particular way if you try hard enough.

What do you mean? My games never suffer from glitches. :smug:

If you can get your crit chance up, Terminus Est is perfect for Flicker Strike, which is an entertaining and pretty unique playstyle. And will probably give you epilepsy....

You've got Tali ! ^^ :D

I'm not sure I'm into epilepsy, but yeah, I was looking into Flicker Strike (poor name, though  ). I was thinking it might be hard to use in the Delve mines, but I like my Cyclone Gladiator, and he does the mines well, so I'll probably keep using him for that. I haven't played a Ranger much. I tried playing a bow-Ranger and didn't love it, but I might see if Terminus Est fits a Ranger-Raider. I'd have to get her Strength up to 80, but that shouldn't be a big obstacle.
