What will the next DLC have?

the 2-pack was something like 7.50, right? so i'd expect a 3-pack to be somewhere between 9 and 10 bucks, even though i wouldn't really expect one

Maybe a bit, but the thing that really jumped out at me is that before the Denmark DLC the patch had a lot to do with improving AI embarking and use of water to move units, as well as AI determining when to pillage. The only real AI change I see is a willingness to use spears, immortals, hoplites, landsknecht in offensive support roles. I would be surprised if that was unrelated to the new DLC, it makes sense to me if it was something like Impi for the Zulu and someone said "let's make sure the new civ actually uses its cool new unit."

My guess is actually Mayan, because of the Stone and the Spear AI. A Holkan and some stone-working building makes sense. The other one is Zimbabwe, which had impressive stone fortifications and spearmen as a core of their army.
But this patch also says, right below the spearman change: "Allow Alexander and Darius to consider Hoplites and Immortals for offensive roles in early game." I think the change has more to do with having them use their UU more than anything else. It would be nice to have the Mayans, I might be the only Civfanatic that doesn't really want the Zulu in at this time. All the DLC nations we've had so far have been war focused, except for Babylon and arguably Polynesia. (Mongolia, Inca, Spain, Denmark). So it'd be nice to have a culture/science focused civ, like Korea, which nonetheless has interesting military units (Turtle Ship! Hwacha/Shinkichon!) I suppose it's entirely possible for it to be either Maya/Zulu or Korea, no real hints so far aside from the patch notes and that guess/assumption/inside info that it'd be Korea + Wonders of the World from the German guy on the forums.

True enough. Though Mayans were fierce and constant warriors as well as accomplished scientists. And they had big canoes! :O

inuit would add something different. coastal/ ice, tundra treated as plains yield, ice treated as road. increased trade route income and lux/ res increase food/ gold. Huskie dog Rifle unit that is mounted. an early harbou gives culture that pumps out a free workboat or trieme every 10 turns. A scenario that resists neighbours modern expansion through culture and diplo. Or build for epic war with canada/ alaska

yeah, I've heard that too. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me, in that I'd think if they they were going to release a Wonders of the World DLC they would release a civ that could be part of that scenario (Carthage or Hittites?). I would expect a Three Kingdoms scenario or something released with Korea.

Although now that no DLC has been announced with the latest patch, maybe an expansion is coming now that the base game is doing well? If so, they maybe saving Some civs to release with the expansion, maybe at Christmas or Spring of next year?

Hm, well when Denmark came out, remember there was an unrelated maps of the world DLC? Maybe the Wonders DLC will be unrelated to Korea in the same way. (And at this point I'm virtually praying the DLC will turn out to be Korea, lol).

i hope it's not korea, partly because i'm just not interested in them at all, but mostly just so everyone can stop saying, "well, that german guy said..."

How can you not be interested in turtle ships? XD

I vote for Denmark. I want a commerce focused civ again.

edit: forgot the vikings are danish :D I still want a commerce centric civ though. Someone with a unique trade post improvement or something.

I think a "Classical Europe" pack with Carthage and some flavor of Celt would be nice. Money with a side of war, and culture with a side of war(or the other way around, depending on which Celts they emphasized). Packed with an appropriate scenario, naturally.

I'm just wishing they'd give us a release date or at least the Civ name soon. It would be very satisfying :)
