I'm surprised that I never hear this topic brought up. God orders the wholesale slaughter of other tribes, orders Abraham to kill his son before stopping it at the end among other atrocities. What evil does Satan do?

I agree with this. I'm not exact sure, but Satan kills less than 10 in the bible. And God still labels him as evil. 
Methinks it's all a hoax to scare believers they will go to hell if they don't let the church control their lives

Satan has a hand in all evil in the world, so I'd say he's a bit more guilty.

Right off the top of my head, god killed everyone on earth at least once (except Noah's family) which puts god way ahead of Satan with that single story.

The updated edition will have him labeled as a *terrorist*. That should clear up any confusions.

Okay, um...
You accept the assumption that God "wrote" the Bible, but you do not accept the assumption that Satan has a hand in everything? It seems to me like you are deliberately interpreting Christianity however you want in order to attack it.

But on the topic at hand. God is way more evil (eviller?) than Satan. First of all, the Christian god is probably more evil than Hitler. Hitler was a pretty evil guy, what with the genocide of millions. But if you are a Christian, than you believe that when Hitler killed all of those Jews, they were sent to hell because they never accepted the lord Jesus Christ as their savior. So who is worse, Hitler for killing the Jews and putting them in camps for however many years it was, or god who is punishing them in a lake of fire for all of eternity?
And why is Satan supposed to be against humanity? You would think that humanity and Satan would be on the same side, against god. Satan and humanity were both cast out of paradise for sinning, so what is Satan's vendetta against us anyway?

Not really, I don't believe in the existence of God.

Remember "God has a plan for each of us created before we were born" mean Hitler isn't evil, simply doing "God's Work"
