1) Maori
2) Mali
3) Phoenicia / Sweden / Eleanor / Canada
4) Inca
5) Hungary / Ottomans

I put the two civs more geared to Domination last as I don’t enjoy playing that.
Maori and Mali are the ones I look forward to the most. Phoenicia possibly the 3rd

Okay unless there is some big surprise with Eleanor I think it will go

1) Inca
2) Maori
3) Mali

Sweden, and Hungary.

Probably choose pseudo-randomly by generating a random number to choose between post-R&F civs - unless an old one, meaningfully changed.

Maori > Canada > Hungry > Inca. Don't know about the rest until their unique abilities and units are revealed.

Maori are definitely the most unique so I'll have to start with them. Canada has some interesting things to play with, particularly national parks from Mounties so they could be fun. Hungry seems like a grab bag of different things so I'm not sure how to play them yet. Inca is very similar to the Civ V version only weaker with VIs mechanics.

Update!

Maori > Mali > Sweden > Ottomans > Canada > Hungry > England/Eleanor > Inca > Phoenicia

The Maori and Mali are by far the most interesting/different civs to me. Sweden and the Ottomans both seem like variations of civs we already have but they are powerful and have some new mechanics that should be fun to play with. Canada seems interesting but most of their stuff comes in the late game which means a dull early/mid game. For Hungry, levying city-state units just doesn't seem that good. I'll definitely try them out though as it is something I don't use at all currently so I may be wrong. I'm assuming Eleanor is going to lead England and since England got a rework I'll have to give them a try to see how the changes work with them. Inca and Phoenicia...sigh. Both are just so uninspiring to me as their bonuses aren't that fun or powerful. I may get around to them eventually.

I keep everything pretty standard in options just so I don't have an advantage over the AI in knowing who/where certain things are.

My opponents will be mostly GS opponents. Same as I did with Rise and Fall with R&F opponents. But depending on the size of the map, I could have more opponents. I will try to include all of them in my first 9 games. Reason being I want to see defeat screens, and other diplomacy screens we may have not seen yet.

Other map settings will be decided at the time depending on what I'm in the mood for.

I'm still going with Canada. I don't know why some people think they're weak, extra Diplomatic Favour from tourism is neat IMO and being able to build farms on tundra opens up another area of the map for founding new cities. Plus being able to build National Parks with a Unit is an awesome ability.

Culture victory is my favourite victory type so that why I'll go for Canada, plus I'd like the extra diplomatic favour when in the World Congress for the first time.

I had chosen Canada (my home team) but it's the Inca who seem most intriguing at the moment. My mind has been playing around with arranging terrace farms, aqueducts and campuses in the mountains, along with mountaintrails, to make a central group of tall powerful cities as the base of my civ.
Then Canada, which I think is still being under-rated here. Strong diplomacy, national parks everywhere, double resource extraction ...
After that the sea civs Phoenicia/Maori since these mechanics offer a lof of new gameplay.
Then Mali, again, because of the unique gameplay.
Eventually I will get to the Ottomans, and since I'm generally a domination player, I could imagine abusing their unique governor for some time.
Sweden and Hungary come last, as they are closest to variations on the vanilla civs.

I'm currently deciding between Phoenicia (for the early colonisation boost), the Inca or the Ottomans. Unless Eleanor has a very interesting ability, England or France is unlikely to be on my list any time soon.

Then I'm immensely looking forward to a game with the Māori once I've got to grips with the new features.

Approximate short-list

1. Maori (op)
2. Inca (long awaited favourite)
3. Canada (to road test diplo victory)
4. Mali (As long as the bug in the Production is fixed)

I'm thinking a bit more about what I want my setup to be. I know I'm playing Phoenicia on continents and just messing around until I move to the next civ. But I think I'll try to play against Ancient/Classical leaders. I'm going to keep disasters relatively low and play until the World Congress. Nothing fancy.

The real question for me is my second game. My rule about playing leaders chronologically still holds, so it should be Eleanor. But if Egypt gets a buff related to flooding, I might play Cleopatra second with disasters turned all the way up.

If Eleanor gets a diplomacy bonus, I'm playing her third with a Medieval start.

I'm leaning Inca as my first "real" game. I always do one on a lower level with a generic civ first time to see the new rules.

I think I'll go with my buddy Trajan, reliable as he is, and set up my opponents to be the GS leaders... After that I'll play them...

Have youtube videos changed anyone's mind?

I have to say Maori is just looking incredibly strong. I'm tempted to move them up to #1, but I'm happy enough playing them second. Potato just seems to be killing it with the Maori.

I think Mali was my no 1 already but what I've seen confirms it.
For a while I was thinking of going with Hungary as an easier introduction into the new mechanics but Mali looks ridiculously strong to me unless they are get a bad start in the Ancient Era.
