Maori look really fun to play on Inland sea maps as they'd just start in the center. Sure they have a few coastal boosts, but I don't see anything inherently wrong for them not to excel in Pangaea maps. Any feature rich area will sling that civ quite fast.

With every leader revealed I think i'll be playing as Canada still. Good at Culture and you get extra Diplomatic Favour from tourism. (plus it'd be fun to settle in Tundra)

Will be standard, emperor, continents, default settings for all of them except Inca where I will play in a more mountainous world and legendary start to get more mountains and natural wonders around.

Edit: and i predict despite my lack of enthusiasm that I will enjoy hungary the most. hoping I enjoy inca is fun tho.

I'm still sticking with Mali despite the 49% production nerf. I will only be playing King, so I should eventually come out ahead.

Mali: continents setting. Dry and arid weather settings. 3 on on the disaster scale. normal sea levels.

    1: Mali
    2: Maori
    3: Inca
    4: Phoenicia
    5: Ottomans
    6: Hungary
    7. Sweden
    8. Canada
    9. Eleanor- probably France, I doubt I will play her twice so no England
    10. Germany: I want to put a factory/coal plant in every single city and watch the world burn.
    11. Georgia- yes Georgia, will be going for a city-state suzerain diplomatic victory with them.
    12: USA
    13: China
    14: Egypt
15: Japan (I believe they have some GS changes)

Now they've all been revealed, I think I'm leaning towards Phoenicia.

I've been waffling on this. But I think after all the reveals and with release just over a week away, it's finally thus:
    1. Ottomans
    2. Sweden
    3. Hungary
    4. Maori or Inca
    5. Maori or Inca
    6. Mali
    7. America
Though I've been waiting for the Ottomans, I initially didn't want to play a domination game. But they seem to really suit my style of play. I'm not very expansionist with founding my own cities, which is right in line with how you'd want to play the Ottomans. A small core of perhaps three or four cities and take the rest.

And hey, this way I'll get to see all of the new lines for when a civilization doesn't stand the test of time on my first game.

    Final order...

    1) Sweden (purely + exclusively Science all the way to the Future!)
    2) Eleanor as France (checking out a truly efficient Cultural rollercoaster)
    3) Phoenicia (curious about that new Diplomacy Victory condition potentials)
    4) Canada (time for fun rather than pursuing specific Victory goals.. or NHL scores :) )
    5) Inca (just wanna see how Machu Picchu fits near their Terrace Farms "networking" plans)
    6) Hungary (W-A-R versus Germany as .. Poetic Justice)
    7) Mali (economics 101 but i'll soon switch gears to Religion against Amanitore)
    8) Maori (settle dynamics, Archipelag-go!)
    9) Ottomans (somebody needed to be last)

...) Looping in the Steam Achievements hunt!

    Most likely occurrence:

    1) Mali - Ridged early game but can easily "breakout" with Golden Classical w/ Monumentality + free faith
    2) Inca - Food yields + Pingala seem to be a viable early strategy while Tunnels and Recon UU are gravy.
    3) Phoenicia - Really interesting navy civ which transitions into something greater than the sum of its parts.
    4) Maori - Well rounded civ that could play well on every map type. Gambling start location addiction initiated.
    5) Hungary - Levy the might of the world and keep it in your pocket.
    6) Eleanor - I'm a sucker for loyalty mechanics. Will be either OP or Underwhelming.
    7) Sweden - Extra diplo favor + awesome UU seems like a winning combo.
    8) Canada - Someones gotta freeze their bums off in the tundra; might as well be Canada.
    9) Ottomans - Linear and focused is always great, but only the UGov is interesting. I'm not excited for all of my coastal districts and tiles to be pillaged x4 times within one turn.

This seems to have gotten fixed after the press release version. Anton and Ed both responded about it on twitter.

    Now we've got everything...

1.) Mali - The civ I've been waiting for the most, and the first true deep-focus economic civ in the game, introduced along with diplo victory. The first era or two will be rough, I expect, but beyond that should be a monster.
2.) Phoenicia - REX REX REX! ICS ICS ICS! I'm worried that she'll run out of steam after the Classical era and leave us with hours of maintaining those gains, but we shall see.
3.) Eleanor - Probs with France, but we'll see.
4.) Maori - In part putting this one off for delayed gratification.
5.) Ottomans - Naval Combat FTW
6.) Sweden - Curious whether this will be interesting or not.
7.) Canada - Build build build with hockey rinks. I'm down.
8.) Hungary - I don't do a lot of domination and this will be a challenge to keep all the balls in the air.
9.) Inca - The only one of these I'm worried will be a boring game.

At the moment, the list looks like this:
    1. Inca - I have always like the Inca, and they seems to be just the right mix of inventive and grounded. I don't want my first civ to be too "wild" in terms of how it plays, but Terrace farms, workable mountains, and mountain paths are all interesting enough.
    2. Maori - I love naval civs, and the Maori are extra interesting for their unique water start and environmental focus
    3. Phoenicia - Another great looking naval civ with a unique Harbor and unique capital moving ability
    4. Mali - I think Mali will be great fun to play due to their focus on gold purchasing, which is instant and satisfying
    5. Canada - Peace and diplomacy suits me fine
    6. Sweden - Culture and diplomacy suits me fine
    7. England (Eleanor) - I am really intrigued by Eleanor's loyalty flipping mechanics, and England is more fun to me than France, due to the naval focus
    8. Hungary - I am mostly looking forward to the builder abilities
    9. France (Eleanor) - I want to try out Eleanor again
    10. Ottomans - I don't think the design is bad or anything, but this civ is purely conquest focused, and as such, the least interesting for me
    This could still change, though.

    1. Mali (rough start but let's get it rollin!)
    2. Maori (wow, that yields!)
    3. Canada (The king in the north!)
    4. Inca (I like mountains)
    5. Hungary (rarely levy cs units, now it's time)
    6. Phoenicia (keep trollin like Marbozir)
    7. Eleanor with France (on TSL Europe!?)
    8. Eleanor with England (on TSL Europe!?)
    9. Sweden (seems fun in lategame)
    10. Ottomans (Dom is not my favorite victory type)

After enjoying Mali and Maori this may vary, maybe even random.

Haven't picked a full order but I will probably start with Eleanor. The reason is quite simple and it is the same one I used for playing Chandragupta first in R&F, namely that it's the only new leader that isn't from a new civ. In other words there will be less new things to learn about her particular quirks. I think it's a good idea to spend your first game of the new expansion to primarily get a feel for all the new gameplay mechanics, without having a whole array of new civ abilities to think about on top of that. You'll be able to have more fun with those once you get a better feel for how the game works

Most looking forward to playing Maori though but I'll save the best for later
