Holy hell I voted clockwise and then looked again and she was going counterclockwise!

The opposite happened to me. I voted counterclockwise, then looked back and it was clockwise! I looked away and back and it was counter-clockwise again...

First time I looked at it a few years ago it was going counter clockwise and now it is only ever goin clockwise for. I am right handed with a dominant left eye.

It can be seen as both. It is not a scam, it's a legitimate optical illusion. I can get her to switch directions whenever I want. It does not alternate, the GIF simply repeats itself. If you don't believe it, download it and open it with any program that can edit animated gifs.

I got clockwise. I instinctively looked at her foot to see which way the was spinning though, so that may have affected my decision.

I can get all three going either way, all three going back and forth (switch every half cycle), and of course most cool-ly have one of the three out of sinc with the others (usually one colored one going opposite the other too) Guess I'll have to concentrate now and see if I can get other cool patterns. (Could always get any of the above with the original, one chick version)

Edit: Can't get the middle one to spin one way and the other two (colored) ones another. Kinda close on getting the middle one to be stuck in half cycles with the others going on (so ccw-half-cw is the best I've gotten) but even that's really tough...some boundaries man was not meant to cross...

Oh, and I should mention the half-way/half cycles is almost always with the chick facing away from me (into the screen). Doesn't seem to ever work for long the other way, can't get repeated changes of direction, true for original too.
