I voted for the Pyramids. I can't think of anything better than sitting or standing 2 thirds of the way up watching the sun set.

I've been to the eiffel tower. It was about 11:00 at night. It was the coldest I've ever been when I was outside completely dry in middle of JULY. It was worth it though. Scanning the night skyline of Paris. Feeling the biting cold (it was about 7 Celsius, and the wind gusted around 15 kilometer an hour) (I was wearing dress pants and a thin short sleeve shirt) I'll always remember that. Going down the tower and looking up from under it was just as stunning, they light it up at night the brownish tower is then made to gleam like gold, and shine like copper that's another wonderful sight.

Or course I'd like to see all the wonders that still stand. It would be quite humerous:

33 years from now....
I a 49 year old nuclear (it's comin' back) engineer taking a few months off work...

Standing on the observation deck of the statue of liberty
"Where did I put my civ 4 advance chart... I need to check this off!!"

At the hover dam, "Nooooooooooooooo, I just dropped my civ5 advance chart!!!!!

At the pyramids, "what do you mean the camel ate the papers in that compartment? my civ3 advance chart was in there!!!"

I voted the Galapagos, although I wouldn't mind seeing many of the others....

Haven't sat atop the pyramids of Egypt, but I DID watch a sunset atop Temple IV at Tikal--couldn't spend the night there though (the park officials were getting strict about that when I was there), although I've heard the sunrise view over the lush green Peten flora is a transcendent experience.... The sunset was quite moving too though.

Haven't been to the Eiffel Tower (or anywhere in Europe for that matter), but I've been atop the similarly-structured Tokyo Tower.

I've flown over the Hoover Dam (never been to Vegas though, although I don't gamble so it's no big thing for me), and seen all the other US wonders.

I'd love to see the Great Wall, but the Galapagos, an unspoiled treasure trove of rare wildlife, would take me days to explore and hold my fascination the whole time!

I'd love to visit the Great Wall, but I'd still go for the Eiffel Tower, given the chance. This has absolutely nothing to do with the wonder at all - I spent a year in Paris and prefer the views from Montmartre and the Père Lachaise cemetary, but Paris is such a wonderful city I'd always be happy to go back. It's also far too expensive to go up the Eiffel Tower, and free to climb the other two I mentioned above. I do love the fact that it was originally designed to be temporary but has lasted over a century and is still strong. (I assume, I haven't carried out any stress tests on the girders recently:)).

I really enjoyed the Notre Dame, particulary the underground excavations. The view from the church on the hill (northside, near Le Garre de Nord) of the city at night is also awesome. The splashing (reminder: no rain, LOL) on the sidewalks when you walk (at night in particular) is dog and human urine. Rather disgusting. haven't been back since teh early 90's, so maybe they stop people and animals from urinating and defacating all over the city nowadays. The Paris I've visitied is easily Europe's dirtiest major city, and I've been to almost all major Eurpopean cities. French towns such as Nice, Lyon, & the eastern towns are farily clean, though :).
