Weep, Mother.
Mrm, yeah, you and Luckymoose both.
It's fun giving you guys some rope and watching you hang yourselves with it.
Low, low blow. And Symph, despite how unver-secrative you want to be- you run your mouth more than me

I noticed a strong correlation between the amount of information being tossed out randomly by both of you the last time I can remember. Not my fault there was a parallel and you were confirming what each other were saying.~Darkening~ said:Low, low blow.
Mostly about things that don't matter or that a toddler could deduce. Name all the examples you want, I don't particularly care how much better you people get or what advantages you have--I've been waiting for genuine competition for quite some time. And Symph, despite how unver-secrative you want to be- you run your mouth more than me.
Then again nothing you do (in situations in which I'm involved, anyway) is of importance, so it hardly matters. You, on the other hand, have no clue whether what I'm saying is true or bull crap .
Then again nothing you do (in situations in which I'm involved, anyway) is of importance, so it hardly matters. Plus you throw out such low-grade counterintelligence and hintings so continuously that you just land yourself on the "assume-the-worst" list with Kal, stalin, and alex anyway.
I say why host the Olympics when you can blow it up? Honestly.Although I agree about the Olympics thing, although the subsquent actions it makes me want to take are fun![]()

And for all you know, I could be playing up the elitist . .. .. .. .. .. .. . card to inspire the rest of you to perform better
better instead of just screwing around trying to secure the Olympics or fiddling with trade tariffs or whatever it is you do.
screwing around trying to secure the Olympics
I say why host the Olympics when you can blow it up? Honestly.
If only Japan had had a decent military preparedness plan and my orders hadn't been so horribly, horribly misunderstood or spelled out to everyone else...
I say why host the Olympics when you can blow it up? Honestly.
However, the summer olympics are fair game.
I'm glad SOME people are still argueing over my NES
Just to warn against any ideas, should staznes live (SENDORDERSYOUBUMS!), there will be a ratio of fifty police officers for every civilian.
*Ahem*
For all ye lazy bums who have failed to send orders for staznes, consider this your official warning. Continuance in failing to send orders will result in a massive attack by allied Penguin/Polar Bear/Panda/Otter mercanary armies and a descent into complete and utter madnes.
Right. Thank you for proving my point. That just reemphasizes how pathetic it is that I routinely manage the things I do and that everyone acts shocked and surprised that oh no, Symphony did it again. People aren't learning. Not because they're not in educational situations, but because they don't want to learn....You didn't read the "3/4s of what I say is bullcrap' part? Assume-the-worst? And you think we all believe you're out for the greater good, happy-go-lucky? Please, you're more transparent than any of us.
Blah blah blah, Symphony only cares about winning, I understand his psychology better than he does, blah blah blah, I can't take a joke or see smilies, blah blah blah...

If anything irks me, it's that.
I just enjoy pointing it out in a caustic and irritating way. Since you're so big on annoying people, I'm glad to see I got you so worked up at your own game.
I look down upon being pompous unless I'm the agent provocateur. And you know, considerinig the entire way you've acted since we first talked, you have no room for jokes.
For one, "attempt" is an incorrect term there. And no, I don't think anyone should be shocked when you do it since you always do it. Its like taxes and death, you can always expect Symph top somehow attempt to dominate the world.
I don't really see how cowardice is much better, since never rising to a challenge means you'll never know if you can beat it or not.In my opinion, its the "Genius" effect. People see you do something amazing once, and they epext the same time after time. Thus, they're less likely to act against you, as they're afraid of getting pwned.
Never presume a man does not have Ninja at his disposal! Or IM capabilities on the computer they're using.Me? Annoyed? please- you're not even bugging me in AIM.
No, but an event that boils down to a list of completely arbitrary and pointless medals which does nothing to the geostrategic context and adds absolutely nothing to the setting (even in the realm of "backstory" really) isn't particularly exciting unless it gets blown up. And lets face it, that's what the Olympics comes down to in NESing.North King said:honestly, the idea that the Olympics are only really good for sabotaging is kind of pathetic. Is only war interesting? Can you only get yourself piqued if someone dies?

Do we bother with every NBA Final? Or the Superbowl? Or the FIFA World Cup? The World Series of Baseball? The Tour de France? World Chess Tournament play-offs? No, because they'd all be equally pointless to the outcome of anything that actually mattered, other than gee-whiz factor. A story about yon average household in yon faraway inconsequential country with nothing at all exciting happening in the least would add more to a game than do the Olympics or any equivalent sporting event.
What the hell is the point of a cultural event if it isn't actually defined by the players who make the culture? I'm all for culture, but it should have some actual effect and some actual cause, or it's just wasted writing that could be spent on other parts of the update. It's the same as putting out a fake list of most popular books in the given year. No function, because there's no player involvement. It's just "oh, you get this, because um... no reason, really," and what good is that for anything? But you know, this is an old argument, and you've already made it quite clear what your position on this part of NESing (cultural events vs. political) is.
I just say it's wrong, fairly disturbing, and makes updates a rather dull read.
