While We Wait: Part 2

IMHO, this argument, while interesting, is kind of pointless. No one is going to change their opinion, and NESing moves on with its inevitably unrealistic update timeframes. :p

Actually it may ultimately be valuable if we're able to come up with some kind of feasible idea, whatever it might be. Getting there from different viewpoints requires arguing, like this. :p We're past the part where we throw insults at each other and have actually gotten to what the disagreement is, and the alternatives, so something may come of it.

I have argued often enough on the Internet to know this appears to be going into a moderately positive direction. ;)

Continued from Warman's thread:

@NK- Yeah, there's still some more, but quite limited in its area. And there may be some good lands which I'm not allowing civilization on yet- as far as you know, that is.

Hence the "discovered" part. Of the rest of the world, I assume (read: hope) Azulia is not truly as boring as it currently seems: a long circle of land... Yeah, I think it must break up to the northeast. That would probably be a decent area for civilization. The center of the continent, though, is probably near inhospitable, as it is too dry and cold.

There is likely another couple of major continents out there, or so, and at least one of those has inhabitable zones. On Tellus, though, there is pretty much nothing of value left.

@NK- Yeah, I'm surprised there hasn't been much exploration beyond Ida'an'i'i. Perhaps their piracy is the reason for that.

And the statement about the interior is true. Kelios' explorers found a dry land, on the verge of being desert, and at a point, the land simply becomes a massive icefield.

Well, if you look at it in the long term, the nations of Azulia were multiplying in a very orderly fashion, right up the coast and into the east. Then, Ida'an'i'i just kind of imploded. The whole chain was ruined: we've seen repercussions from this seemingly small event in that the entire pattern of Azulian settlement has been diverted for a long time. Add into this the Divotheist-Kelios conflict, and I don't see the region getting much further any time soon.

See Iggy, I know how climates work in the middle of large continents, too. :p

Well, no one actually knows what's beyond Ida'an'i'i. Though they are indeed a barrier to civilization, there may be something beyond them.

Deserg? Isn't that kind of a rip off of Starcraft Iggy;)
Rats. Now I'll have to say 'Typo-Free since May 23, '07. :p

Indeed it has been a while

Huzzah Starcraft...perhaps I shall adjust my avatar as well...

Me and couple of my friends are eagerly awaiting Starcraft 2! Just need a release date so I know when to start playing through Starcraft and Broodwars to refamiliarize myself with the storyline and overall controls.

I only ever played the Protoss campaign of Brood War, so I'm going to be way behind

you should be talking about starcraft in all other games, not here.
