While We Wait: Part 2

And yes, ther is a point other than running my mouth ;).
Fine, whatever.

If anyone is so inclined, please read the next installments of my alternate ACW timeline, which just transitioned to Europe, in Althist Thread IV.

See, OK, that's another thing. When the other people already end it? You don't need to come back, say something more, and then declare it ended, because that just starts it back up again, as was demonstrated earlier this page. Don't do that. :p Stop trying to violate Internet physics, damnit.

What, you mean like what you're doing right now? I don't know who died and made you God, but wagging your metaphorical finger isn't going to get you very far on an internet forum. Don't get me started by the hypocrisy of your "internet physics" reference either.

So yeah, anyways, NiNES clone. What was the motivation (aside from withdrawl)?

Nope Nylan, I'm talking about netiquette, not goddamn Penguins invading the North Pole.

When both sides run out of things to say, or otherwise agree to drop the subject, that's it. Bringing it up again is bad. It's like thread necromancy. Similarly, trying to end the argument while getting one last jab in, eg: "Blah blah, you are wrong, lets agree to disagree," is also bad, because you're trying to have the last word.

I'm saying, since NK and I ended the discussion, jabbering on about it after it's over just zombifies it back into existence, which is the very reason it was killed to begin with. Saying "Now lets drop it" after doing that is hypocrisy, and serves no point.

And now, we are harping on this new subject; internet "physics"--guess you didn't get where I was going with the pun--and what not to do in a forum discussion. Redirect your mock anger elsewhere, please. Do not reanimate dead talk unless there is something constructive to add. I don't think one has to be deified to point out something so simple, of such widespread practice, and of such common sense, thanks.

Or read my 14th century Hungarian/Italian PoD althist. Europe is entirely changed with none of the traditional Great Powers that emerged from this period in the propoer position and entirely different powers rising. The Ottomans are set for a future unlike anything imaginable in our world. The Colonial race is coming and with it the whole world will experience the full impact of the The Age of Elisabeth.

@Sym- Yes, I just said that for humour value. Would you have preferred that I said 'Penguins nuke everything, then blow themselves up' just to make it fair. Or would you rather I simply advised an end to a debate that was going nowhere?

The whole point of my post was to point out the hypocrisy of telling people to stop reviving a topic after it had both been revived and died again. Thus, by harping on it, you were reviving the thread in order to "get one last jab in". You're only proving my point. I'd say let's drop it, but then you'd probably go harping on at me for getting a jab in, so I guess I'll just wait for a mod to warn us both. Not to mention, I was trying to be humorous and you got horribly offended. This wasn't supposed to be an argument. Oh well...

Or why don't I just take away the last word from both of you? :D Problem Solved.

Penguins invading the North Pole could make an interesting NES...

Not really, then Sym would give you the same criticism he gave me, and the cycle would perpetuate itself.

So, is anyone missing from the latest NESermap?

It would be much appreciated if you could add yourself, if you haven't already, to the NESing Frappr.

Where is this NESr map located anyhow Iggy? Ive seen some peoples edited versions but im not sure where the main map is. Also I added myself to the NESing Frappr thing.

Here it is. Only trust the ones in my posts, otherwise people will start editing old maps and things like that.

You say where, I make a red dot and a name.

Spoilers please?

Man, we need more Asian NESers, and we need to go recruiting in South America and Africa.

Eeeeeexcellent *rubs hands*

Not that I've been around much longer...

We need some Quebecois, Koreans, Japanese, and some people from warm climates. ATM we have Israelis, Australians, and New Zealanders, as well as American Southerners. That leaves a LOT of warm climate empty. However, we have a large representation of cold-weather NESers.

(With sun, there are things to do outside, but NESing helps keep our minds off the cold?)

No, the heat makes you more likely to be lazy. Hence the reason I'm here even though the beach so close. NESing is an overpowering addiction no matter what your excuse ;)

You call your weather cold, Torontonian?

*snorts*

(Yes, many northern Canadians take pride in living in conditions more unpleasant than other people)

I spent part of a winter in Winnipeg and Churchill. I was born in Toronto, but I've been around the North. Sudbury is pretty bad too.
