While We Wait: Part 3

It would be even easier to ignore him, but I think it might be better, if more difficult, to exasperate him back. Somehow.

As many chances as I've had to talk to Lucky- trust me, you'll only end up exasperating yourself. Its best to ignore or stare in wonder.

I would draw comparisons with other users but that would be a rules violation. :mischief: And no, Darkening the Ever Paranoid, I'm not talking about you, before you start.

Ah, but they actually seem to be improving, while Luckymoose is getting worse and worse. It's like there is some sort of a metaphysical balance between Good and Lame that is impossible to break.

No, no, not them. I'm thinking about of some hardy perennials with dual-word-no-space names who've display similar random and bizarre commentary.

Tis an odd little squabble this!

I'd miss your avatar :(

Just to check the water, is there any interest here in an ancient (Early Iron Age) historical NES at some later point?

Early Iron Age is about 1000 BC, right? I could be convinced to do that, especially if I can grab something Levantine.

Yes, that's pretty much what I mean. I will need to work out a lot of things first, though. If you find any reasonably detailed political map for the period, that would be very appreciated. ;)

I've got a Collins Atlas of World History at home; maybe I can scan something when I get back in about seven hours if the scanner's not in use.

Only if there's Maghada.
From what little I know of Indian history, I don't believe it exists yet, unless the semi-legendary Brihadratha Kings are counted. In that case, it almost certainly will be in.

I plan to include China, India and Greece later on as we go, but the initial focus will have to be on the Middle East.

By early iron age what years are we talking exactly?

As Dachspmg said, the starting point will have to be somewhere around 1000 or 950 BC. The former is probably better as it's so God-damn round.

Question: Israel is pretty bloody important at this juncture. Who gets to be David? :king:

Also, how is this historical NES going to work - how long are turns going to be, what's the story on IT/BT, will we be able to factionalize, and will it be a truncated map for just the Middle East or a world map with like an inset or something?
