NPC's add so much to a game, having 6 "PCNPC's" means non of your party have any quirks or character..

Icewind Dale is not as good as Baldur's Gate or Planescape or Arcanum. But its still good. Icewind Dale 2 is better than the first one. Still better than Diablo, though, no matter which way you look at it. I wouldn't be as hard on it as Abaddon. There are still a bunch of side-quests. But yes, the limitations are more severe than Baldur's Gate and the other games of this nature.

that must be incredibly boring no party interaction, 6 people go to hell'n'back (saving the world from something apocalyptic i'd imagine) and they dont say a word to each other.
Thats what was missing in mass effect too, you're tag alongs didn't speak to each other much.

You may have saw plenty, But I didn't see enough. I thought it was very lame when you came to make a big decision like killing the council they just had a good and a bad suggestion. one playthrough liara wanted to save em, then next time because I had Kaiden with me she said they weren't worth it.

Not in the big decisions. You'll still get one person telling you to kill the queen and another to let it live. never got two people to tell me to kill it which would happen if you had Ashley and Wrex.
I suppose it's possible it could be different in the PC version

Conversely (perversely?) I like the artwork of the female elves you get in Baldurs Gate/Icewind Dale. Not that I've actually played much of those games. I think I still have the ID demo, I remember I got as far as somewhere in a forest with a mystical guy who summoned polar bears and all kinds of animals to kill me, that was cool

I demand a summary of the skills, ranks, and campaigns of the survivors!

OK cool, I'll see what I can gather up tomorrow. It will be quite messy since I tended to move leaders around quite a lot... and no in-game record-keeping for the air commanders either. I can say that all commanders/generals were in both the USSR and USA campaigns at some point.

I typed "Naked Hitler" into google image search. That was the first one I found. I also searched for "Naked Stalin" and "Naked Mao" but I couldn't find anything.

I guess people would rather see Hitler naked, then Stalin or Mao.
