While We Wait: Part 4

I typed "Naked Hitler" into google image search. That was the first one I found. I also searched for "Naked Stalin" and "Naked Mao" but I couldn't find anything.

I guess people would rather see Hitler naked, then Stalin or Mao.
Yeah, I would've thought Mao would be more your speed, since he liked little girls. :p

All joking aside though, after the initial lulz that sort of creeps me out.

A question of etiquette: Is it considered in bad taste to recruit players on this forum for a game on another forum?

Better taste would be pulling people from that forum here ;)

Man, I kind of wish there was some kind of NES like LINES. It has magic, but it sill has stats and is on the world scale. Right now there are a couple fantasy NESes. But they're either only partialy focused on countries (Sekai) or are focused on individual characters (World of Altor).

There have only been two successful NESes like that- SSNES- Fall of Wu'di (note: Not on an Earth Map) and LINES- World of Magic. We could use another one like that, I've always wanted to run something Mesoamerican on a real world map with Magic...

If anyone were to start a NES like that, I'd definitely join.

AbNES was magic.. but I canned that when I moved house :(

Yes, but it didn't last for a particularly long time, whereas SSNES and LINES both lasted the better part of a year. Let's see, LINES was 22 updates between August 2005 and February 2006.

I feared such comments would only encourage you :) I don't have a problem with Winry though, even a naked Winry (she's not underage right? Anime paedophilia vs naked hitlers... See how damaging this is already?!)

An update per week for 22 weeks without any breaks? That's excellent. I look on in awe and shame of myself :(

@Daft: For every day you refuse to update DaftNES2, I will throw a dwarf down a short hole only big enough to seriously damage it and then toss in wild animals to finish it off.

Scratch that, every minute.

By the way, have there been any NESes which have given something close to a fair one-on-one match between NESers? It might be interesting to see.

Off the top of my head, Symphony D.'s Russia vs. das' Ottoman Empire in DisNES II. It didn't stay that way for the entire war (Insane Panda's Holy Roman Empire jumped in after awhile, and the Ottomans started to get pushed back really badly) but for a few years it was touch and go between the two of them, at least from my perspective.

Usually the idea is not to do a one-on-one matchup though, or at least not to make it fair. :p

I know that- it just makes for an interesting read. Which years should I look at?

Quick survey: How much are the tuition frees for state colleges universities in your countries (in dollars)? Here it rose be 300% in a year, because, apparently, (according to my source) our government is currently aiming for:
- the number of SCUs [state colleges and universities] will decrease by 20 percent
- six SCUs will be semi-corporatized
- 20 percent of SCUs will be self sufficient by selling intellectual products and grants
- 50 percent of SCUs will have active income generating projects
- 70 percent of SCUs will have tuition comparable to private universities
- 60 percent of the SCUs will have collaborations with big industries and businesses.
This is NES-related because: how would the mods react to orders like "turn schools into profitable businesses" in the short- and long- run?
