While We Wait: Part 5

This talk all about fees makes me glad that Australia has the HECS system meaning that although you have to pay the money back, if ya smart enough to go to uni you get to go, not just if you are rich enough.... otherwise a few of my good friends would never of got the chance to go themselves.

And lo, there was the magic of FAFSA, and it did shine forth upon the fruited plains, and there was increased possibility for university admissions by even those less fortunate, financially. Also, a vast improvement in the community college system...the local one here is actually pretty good, even rich kids go to it sometimes, because you can go straight from there to UVA or another state school...

Not saying that the system is perfect or anything but it's certainly pretty good IMHO.

It's not necessarily that it's bad, but you have to cut through some red tape to get to it.

How much does the average IV league tuition cost?
Cornell is the least expensive, I think, and they're running about $19K a semester for undergrads. Most of the others are much more expensive. Sallie Mae has a website that compares tuition costs somewhere.

RE: alex

Chinese names out of nowhere. ;)

... and Chinese national organization, Chinese armies, Chinese Imperial system, and occasionally inward focus (Like in LINES ItD) like OTL China.

And Harvard is the most expensive, right?
Probably.

Sallie Mae?
Federally run student loan company. SLM, officially. What Fannie and Freddie were/are for mortgages and equity debt, Sallie is for student loans.

Thanks. Has anyone seen Legend of the Seeker? It's supposed to be good, but I couldn't watch it.

I don't really care how much loans are (no offense to your hard earned money, I'm just an apathetic kind of person), I was just curious after you guys started talking. Still got 4 years to worry about that stuff. So I guess you could say that I was curious. Yeah, I guess.

Where's Stafford?

See, these nice, clean answers that Bird provides don't mess with my head, Dachs.

The tools don't make the artist.

And that's my profession, you can't have more than one.

Oh, and Saladin could kick Barbossa's @$$. ;)

Barbarossa was good on the European battlefields.... Saladin in the desert... I think depending on where they fought would determine who was the eventual victor.

Not my problem, sp. :p

No, I meant the pirate. You know, from PotC. Or maybe you are talking about him. Though I'd say he's better on the seas.

EDIT: Dachs, I don't get it.
