While We Wait: Part 5

Same graphics Same engine. YES it is VERY different from R:TW in terms of units and campaigns, what have you.

the Total War mods are not bad, thats not what i'm saying. but i would like tW to revist Shogun.

So your problem isn't the setting, unlike your original comment, but it's the engine and graphics? Empire: Total War ought to be just your thing, then. It ought to be easily moddable too, so you can get your Far East scenario. ;)

hardy har har

empire would be fun if i wasn't broke

which brings up an interesting question
why are jokes portrayed as being worthless or without money

Yeah, the price tag is why I'm using a friend's computer to play CoD4 until it gets reasonably inexpensive. Also, the CoD: World at War demo is fun. :)

Sadly I already turned in my absentee ballot:

Is anybody excited about Tom Clancy's EndWar? I want to yell things into the microphone and fight battles like that!

I played the demo. Wasn't impressed.

Meh, I'm so seldom impressed with games nowadays... waiting on my copy of Fable 2 (I hate long supply chains), and since I find most games disappointing... I've decided I'm going to deliberately play this one down for the moment.

Empire Total Wars has naval combat, hopefully it’s decent, I don’t get my explosive fix in total war games normally :(

Kentharu, the original MTW was just a total conversion of Shogun--same engine (IIRC), same graphics (if you're saying EB and Vanilla RTW have the same graphics, then Shogun and MTW have that, too!). Guess what? They marketed it as a WHOLE NEW GAME.

The good thing about free total conversions is that they are FREE in addition to being comparable to WHOLE NEW GAMES.

Also someone needs to make a totally epic Roguelike. JADE from Thomas Biskup seems such a long long time away and nobody else seems to be making an effort.

.... You know, I miss you guys too much. :)

I can't help but staying here. I guess most of you thought that I would return after a week or so. Well, I lasted one to two months, I think.

Welcome back to me. Yay.

Me me I like dark chocolate. Especially the real expensive stuff without refined sugar and milk. It stimulates the mind.

I think Luckymoose works for FOX news and is an agent of the secret government / Thule Society / New World Order. But anyway I think the whole two party system is carefully controlled by the conspirators and both candidates are actually Infested Terrans.
I like milk chocolate, but to be honest I'm not a huge fan of chocolate in general.

But seriously, it's time to prepare to fight the zerg.

Total war mods are usually crap like RTR.

Anybody else got Red Alert 3? The Japs are ok but mircomanaging everything is annoying.

I didn't like R:TR but EB is godlike.

I didn't get it mostly because of the price tag...what do you mean by micromanaging? How's it any different than the previous installments in the series, gameplay-wise?
