While We Wait: Part 6

Go QWERTY!

Do you mean Dvorak layout keyboard? I've been thinking of switching, but never really got around to it.

On a completely random note, every morning at my school they play a couple of songs over the speaker system, and today they happened to play this song. I am not kidding.

Your school is far behind my high school. We had video morning announcements that culminated with the entire place getting rickrolled, in large part due to my own instigation, last school year. :p

Yeah, but did you guys get the video as well?

Anyone want to help me finish off my alternative timeline 'thing'? Its kinda approaching the ww2 era, although there hasn't actually been a world war yet.

Big vacancies= pseudo-japanese imperialists (Takaraji), the oppressed and downbeaten pseudo-germanic peoples of central europe (Amestrians), and the descendents of steppe peoples living in france who have seen their old empire slowly disintegrate (Argines/Tuzan). There's also the Yeshegi culture scattered around the middle east and caucasus who are being marginalized by lord_iggy's Sarvonian nationalist/industrialists.

I would play as the Amestrians if I did not have the newly released Europa Barbarorum 1.2 sitting on my hard drive waiting for my paper to be finished. :(

In other news, das, when you get back online, can you think of a way in which the emancipation of the serfs in 1861 wouldn't have caused serious issues? Or was it basically "damned if you do, damned if you don't"?

I wanted to do the Takaraji, but when I went to put in orders and someone else did them so I left it alone.

I just realized how perfectly delighting it is to found your own mythology.

You know what'd really be delightful? Something with about the complexity of a NES2 ruleset, competently moderated.

I THROW DOWN THE GAUNTLET

Hopefully coming to you after College Apps.

My whole physics class last year got rickrolled by our professor with a bogus link on the course homepage. The song was also played at my cousin's wedding, doubtless causing some amusement among the more cultured guests, but I think that the organizers weren't aware of its significance.

So yeah, at the Quizbowl tournament I went to Saturday, the Tournament Director decided to Rickroll all of us in the Auditorium while we were waiting for prelim stats to be entered. Honestly, I think Rickrolling is past its prime.
